AMMAN, May 8 (KUNA) — Fourteen pro-Syrian regime elements were killed on Thursday in a blast that ripped through the Carlton Hotel in Aleppo, north of the country.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that a huge explosion has rocked the ancient section of the northern Syrian city of Aleppo, known as the old city, also causing major damage to archeological structures.
A Thursday report by Syrian state news agency SANA blamed the “enormous attack on Aleppo old city antiquities” on the foreign-backed militants in Syria, saying that the blast also blew up the tunnels that the armed militants had dug under archeological buildings. (end) tk.tg
