IS changes the names of schools in al- Mayadin City, and al- Hesba members arrest 2 men in the city of al- Bo Kamal

Deir Ezzor Province: Reliable sources reported to SOHR that IS had changed the names of schools in the city of al- Mayadin, where the sources confirmed that most of schools bearing the names of scholars, martyrs and other names have been changed into names of the prophet’s companions, including Muhammad al- Forati School which has been changed into Nosaybah al- Maziniyyah School,  while they keep 4 schools without any change because they have names of the prophet’s family. In addition to, IS has painted the doors of schools writing its motto and “Diwan al- Ta’lim” (office of education) on the two sides of school name.  

 

Reliable sources informed SOHR that a patrol of al- Hesba (Islamic Police) had beaten a woman in al- Nofoteh area in the city of al- Bo Kamal pretending that she showed her eyes, where 2 young men from the people of the city had objected to the beating of the woman. The sources confirmed that al- Hesba members arrested the two young men and ordered the owners of stores to close their stores. The sources also reported to SOHR that IS whipped a man for “drug abuse”. In addition to, cross- cutting information reported to SOHR that IS seized 2 clinics owned by 2 doctors in the city of al- Mayadin accusing them of “dealing with opposing party”.
