Turkey arrests 14 suspected to have ties to Daesh
According to a report by Reuters, 14 people were arrested in the city of Oguzeli, south of Gaziantep, by Turkish security forces for attempting to join Daesh.
Of those arrested, 13 were foreigners and one was a Turkish national.
After being interrogated, the foreigners were arrested and subsequently deported, while the Turk was released on orders of a state prosecutor, reports Reuters.
The war in Syria and presence of Daesh militants in Turkey has greatly impacted country’s economic and political stability.
