IS executes the Director of Operations of the gas plant of Titan
Reliable sources reported to SOHR that IS executed the Director of Operations of the gas plant of Titan located in the countryside of the city of al- Tabaqa in the province of al- Raqqa after arresting him for about 3 months. IS could seize the gas plant in April 2014 after it was controlled by Oways al- Qurani Brigade. The sources also confirmed to SOHR that the Director of Operations of the gas plant was the responsible for the agreement between the regime forces and IS organization that provides maintenance and protecting the plant for sharing profits of the gas plant of Twitan. The execution carried out 3 days ago near the plant in the countryside of al- Raqqa.
Meanwhile, the number of people executed by IS in the city of Deir Ezzor and its countryside has risen to 10 people at least, where IS executed a man from the village of Hatla in his village in east of Deir Ezzor accusing him of “Shiism and belonging to the militia of NDF”. IS also beheaded a man today in the city of al- Mayadin in east of Deir Ezzor. The sources confirmed that this man was a commander of a rebel battalions executed by IS in al- Jaradeq Square in front of public for “fighting IS and not handing over his weapons”. The organization also executed 8 men and young men in the city of Deir Ezzor ; one of them was beheaded for being “agent for the Nusayri (Alawite) regime and belonging to NDF” while the others were shoot for “drugs traffic”.
Thus, the number of people who were executed by IS in the villages and towns of Deir Ezzor for “ serving the regime forces, fighting IS, coordinating with the awakening movements in Turkey, apostasy, drugs traffic, and recruiting al- Shaitaat people in Palmyra camp” since May 20, until now has risen to 57, including a young man from the city of al- Mayadin executed by IS organization by shooting him for “apostasy”. The sources confirmed that the young man was arrested by IS in order to be undergone for “closed Sharia course” because he opposed the Friday’s sermon of an Imam of a mosque in the city of al- Mayadin.
