Asayish declares curfew in the city of al- Hasakah, and counter attack carried out by the regime forces and militants loyal to them in the city

Al-Hasakah Province:

Violent clashes are still taking place between the regime forces supported by NDF, al-Baath battalions and the militiamen loyal to them against IS, amid violent shelling by the regime forces and airstrikes on IS controlled areas after a counterattack carried out by the regime forces to re-take control over the city, the regime forces brought hundreds of members from Deir Ezzor city after IS advanced in the area and took control of al-Nashwa and areas in its vicinity.

 

Clashes are taking place between YPG against IS at the eastern outskirts of Gweiran neighborhood southeast of Al-Hasakah city.

 

SOHR had received a copy of the statement issued by the Kurdish General Command of the interior security forces, “Asayish” in which curfew in the city of Al-Hasakah have been imposed. The statement said:

Due to the terrorist attacks on Al-Hasakah city by IS mercenaries and its entering for some of the southern neighborhoods and targeting civilians and terrifying them, and to preserve the safety of the people, especially in the neighborhoods under the protection of Asayish and the the Women and People’s Protection Units we declare a curfew in the city of Al-Hasakah from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. starting in 27/6/2015 until further notice, also it says: “excluded from this curfew:
1- Asayish forces, the Women and People’s Protection Units and the Fundamental Protection Forces 
2- Emergency situation. 
Also those whom work in bakeries must come to the Asayish Center for regularizing  their status.”
The statement concluded with “We appeal to our people in the city of Hasaka to cooperate with Asayish forces to support and consolidate security and stability in the city in order to preserve the safety of citizens
