Al-Zabadani battles enter its 16th day causing tens of deaths

It rose to 46 the number of Islamic factions’ Syrian fighters which the SOHR was able to document their death since the 4th of this July during the clashes that are taking place in al-Zabadani city and its vicinity after an attack by Hezbollah supported by the Fourth Division and local gunmen loyal to the regime, also the SOHR documented the death of 21 members of Hezbollah during the same clashes which are entering its 16th day on a row, where the SOHR published yesterday that for the 15th consecutive day, the city of al- Zabadani and its vicinity have been shelled by the regime troops and air force by all kinds of shells and missiles, where the city and its vicinity have been targeted by more than 583 missiles and barrel bombs as well as hundreds of tank shells, mortar shells, cannon shells and ground-to-ground missiles in an attempt by Hezbollah, supported by soldiers of the Fourth Division, to take control of the city and to finish the last presence of the rebel and Islamist factions on the Syrian – Lebanese border cities, and to close the last border crossing controlled by these factions between both countries after seizing all crossings in al- Qalamoun in Rif Dimashq by Hezbollah supported by the regime troops. although this intensive and madness shelling on such small geographical area but the factions defending the city which consists of Ahrar al- Sham Movement, local militiamen and other Islamist factions’ fighters have foiled all attempts by Hezbollah and the regime forces to take control over the city, where until this moment they were only able to take control over wide area of the neighborhood of al- Jam’eyyat and some buildings in the northwest and southeast of the city, also they have besieged the city aiming to drain the fighters inside the city and to finish their arms stockpile.
