Bashar al- Assad’s barrel bombs and his warplanes’ missiles kill 37 civilians, including 22 children and woman

9 civilians killed due to aerial bombardment on a neighborhood of in the city of Aleppo and on a village in the southern countryside of Idlib, where a woman and 3 of her children killed due to dropping barrel bombs on a building in the neighborhood of al- Myassar in the city of Aleppo yesterday night while 5 other civilians, including a child at least, killed in aerial bombardment on the village of Kafar Mous in the southern countryside of Idlib this morning. Thus, the number documented by SOHR of the civilians who were killed in the last 24 hours due to carrying out about 240 airstrikes by the regime air force has risen to 37, including 8 children, 2 boys and 14 women, including a pregnant woman and 2 midwifes.  

 

It is noted that SOHR published 3 days ago that 26517 airstrikes carried out by the regime air force since 10/20/2014 until 7/21/2015, where the helicopters dropped 14393 barrel bombs on different areas in the provinces of Rif Dimashq, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, al- Hasakah, Deir Ezzor, al- Quneitera, al- Suwaydaa, Daraa, Idlib and Lattakia.

 

Meanwhile, the warplanes carried out at least 12124 raids on areas in the provinces of Damascus, Rif Dimashq, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, al- Hasakah, Deir Ezzor, al- Raqqa, al- Quneitera, Daraa, al- Suwaydaa, Idlib and Lattakia.

 

On the other hand, SOHR also documented the death of 4879 civilians, including 684 women, and 1001 children, due to aerial bombardment carried out by the government warplanes and helicopters, while about 26000 other civilians were wounded and dozens of thousands displaced. The aerial bombardment also resulted in destroying public and private people’s properties as well as it left huge material damages in several areas.
