Scores killed or wounded in Syrian regime’s shelling of Arbeen – SOHR

Dozens have been killed or injured as Syrian regime’s fighter jets shelled the southern town of Arbeen, and a blast hit Ain Al-Arab (Kobane) in the northern province of Aleppo, a monitoring group has said.Two men and a woman were killed and scores were injured in the shelling of different parts of Arbeen in Eastern Ghouta, in Damascus countryside, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) added in a statement on Monday.Airstrikes targeted Arbeen over the past two days, leaving at least 14 people, among them women and children, dead.In the meantime, eight airstrikes and heavy shelling hit Al-Zabadani town, coinciding with clashes between the Fourth Division of the Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters on one hand and Islamic forces and armed locals on the other, the SOHR noted.One man was killed when the regime hit the Hersta town on Sunday.Meanwhile, a car bombing hit southern town of Kobane near the Turkish borders targeting a checkpoint for the Kurdish People’s Protection Units. Initial reports said that two of the Units have been killed.In addition, ten militants from Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) were killed in clashes in Al-Hasaka.Sources told the SOHR activists that a vehicle carrying dead bodies of ISIL militants had arrived at a hospital in Al-Shadadi, a strong hold of the insurgent group in Al-Hasaka.A separate SOHR statement said that the Bashar Al-Asad regime had killed 1,000 children in nine months, amid the international fight against ISIL.The regime carried out up to 26,350 airstrikes over the nine months, it added.
