YPG and al-Sanadid Army advance towrards al-Ahdath prison, while warplanes strike Al-Hasakah city and its southern countryside

Al-Hasakah Province:

Violent clashes are taking place between YPG and al-Sanadid army of the governor of al-Jazira Province Hamidi Dahham al-Hadi against IS in the southern outskirts of Al-Hasakah city, where the YPG and al-Sanadid army were able to advance and take control over the villages of al-Watwatiyyeh and Om al-Khyr after taking control ofver Jesr Abyad in the southwest of Al-Hasakah city, which getting them closer to the power plant which is near al-Ahdath prison in the southern outskirts of Al-Hasakah city, the clashes and advancement coincided with air raids on IS positions and locations, the YPG and al-Sanadid are trying to forming circle shaped as arc from the west to the east of al-Hasakah and trapping the members of IS in the southern section of the city, and thus they retook the areas which IS had controlled within the city of al-Hasakah, after the regime forces supported by NDF, members of the Republican Guards, the tribal gunmen loyal to the regime and al-Ba’ath Brigades all of them had failed to regain control over the neighborhoods of Western al-Nashwa, al-Shari’aa, Villat al-Nashwa, al-Mal’aab al-Baladi and al-Zohur, and parts of the neighborhoods of Ghwyran and al-Layleyyeh, while regime forces were able today to get to the Criminal Security building located on al-Nashwa highway which reach to the center of al-Hasakah city, and recovered a number of their members bodies who were killed in explosion of  2 booby- trapped vehicles at the 26th June 2015, while the information are still conflicted about who controls the al-Siyaha School located north of the Sport City highway after the bridge of al-Nashweh where the received information reported that the school was shelled by the regime forces.
Warplanes believed to be for the coalition targeted IS positions near the area of al-Sab’aaw Aarb’een in the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, and information about casualties for IS, while the regime forces warplanes carried out raids on areas in the Western al-Nashweh and its vicinity coincided with the regime forces shelling on the same areas.

 

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published 2 days ago that the regime forces had failed to regain control over the areas controlled by the “Islamic state” in the city of Hasaka during the past three weeks, where reliable sources confirmed to the activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in the city that the “Islamic state” only had lost the Eastern Nashweh neighborhood which was controlled alongside with the neighborhoods of al-Shari’aa and Western al-Nashweh at  June 20, 2015. IS was able to expand its controlled areas in the city; in the neighborhood of Hosh al-Ba’er known as al-Zohur neighborhood too,  areas in the neighborhoods of Ghwyran, al-Layleyyeh, the sport city, the southern entrance of the city, the southern outskirts of the city,  including the under construction al-Ahdath prison, although carrying out more than 90 airstrike by the regime air force, bringing hundreds of soldiers from the Republican Guard and the elite forces in the regime, and putting in charge two senior officers of the regime forces, namely the general-major Mohammad Kaddour and the brigadier-general Isam Zahreddinefor, to manage the military operations in al-Hasakah. The military operations resulted in the death and wound of 200 members of regime forces and militiamen loyal to them during the clashes and shelling by the “Islamic state” and detonating at least 17 booby- trapped vehicles, most of them targeted the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them in the city and its vicinity, while besides those who detonated the booby trapped vehicles there were 70 IS members at least killed in the battles in which IS called the “Battle of Abu Suhail al-Orduni.”, including 15 kid fighters at least, all of them under the age of 16.
