A calm prevails in al- Zabadani, al- Fu’ah and Kefrayya after the cease-fire agreement enters into force

Rif Dimashq Province: Cease-fire has entered into force in each of the city of al- Zabadani in Rif Dimashq and the two towns of al- Fu’ah and Kifrayya inhabited by Shiites in the countryside of Idlib, where SOHR published after midnight that acease-fire agreement reached yesterday in al- Zabadani and the two towns of al- Fu’ah, where it started this morning and continues for 48 hours in order to find resolutions for outstanding issues in the negotiations about these areas.

 

SOHR also reported that the agreement does not conclude the town of Madaya located near the city of al- Zabadani, where the regime helicopters killed yesterday a man, his wife and 3 of their children. SOHR also received information about cease-fire agreement that it was scheduled to begin yesterday morning, where the agreement states on safe retreat for the rebels from al- Zabadani and Madaya for letting 1000 civilians from the towns of Kefrayya and al- Fu’ah to go out of the two towns as initial phase of the agreement, as well as letting the food and medicines to enter into the fourth cities and towns mentioned above.      

 

It is also noted that al- Zabadani city and the two towns of al- Fu’ah and Kefrayya witnessed cease-fire from August 12, to 15 August.
