A violent attack by Al-Nusra Front and Islamic factions to take control of Abu al-Duhur Airbase

Clashes described as violent are taking place between the regime forces backed Hezbollah and armed loyalists against the rebel and Islamic Factions, al-Nusra Front (al-Qaeda in the Levant), the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Junud al-Sham al-Shishan and the Islamic Turkestan party in the vicinity of al-Qarqour town on the outskirts of Idlib Province and at the administrative borders with Hama, amid bombing by the warplanes on the clash  area, in an attempt by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them to regain control of the town, also  violent clashes are taking place in the vicinity and the outskirts to Abu al-Duhur airbase between the Islamic factions and Al-Nusra Front (al-Qaeda in the Levant) against the regime forces after a violent attack by the fighters and Jabhat Al-Nusra on the airbase in an attempt to control it, amid initial information reporting that the fighters were able to break into the airport fences, the clashes accompanied by heavy and intense mutual shelling, also the warplanes carried out dozens of raids in the vicinity of the airport, the warplanes also carried out  raids targeting areas in the town of Mhambel in the western countryside of Idlib, no information about injuries, while the warplanes bombed areas in the town of Kafr Ewyd in the southern countryside of Idlib, while warplanes targeted areas in Ariha city which destroyed public facilities and damage to property of citizens, also the warplanes carried out 5 raids on areas in the city of Jesr al-Shoghour in the western countryside of Idlib which caused injuries, while an Islamic brigade commander was killed in clashes against the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them in Sahl al-Ghab in the countryside of Hama, also the Islamic factions targeted areas in the towns of Kafrayya and al-Fou’aa which are inhabited by Shiite citizens in the northwestern countryside of Idlib, after a statement which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received a copy of it, issued by the Islamic Union of Ajnad al-Sham, which stated: “ in order to support our people in Syria in general and in al-Zabadani especially, and in response to the massacres committed by the enemy al-Assad the criminal in Syria in general and in the Eastern and the Western Ghouta especially of which the last was the popular market massacre in the city of Douma, announcing the launch of the battle of “North flames in supporting of both Ghouta” which aims to destroy the dens of al-Assad gangs inside the towns of Kafrayya and al-Fou’aa by more than 100 shells per day”.
