More than 115 fighters killed in the counter attack launched by the regime forces in Sahl al- Ghab and the countryside of Jeser al- Shogour

The regime forces, backed by Hezbollah and allied fighters of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities, could retake Frikah area located on the highway of Ariha – Lattakia in the countryside of Jeser al- Shogour after they could advance towards the outskirts of countryside of Idlib at the administrative boundaries with Hama. The regime forces have seized the area after violent clashes with Jabhat al- Nusra, Jund al- Aqsa, Ahrar al- Sham, Junud al- Sham al- Shishan, Ajnad al- Sham, the Turkestan Islamic Party,  Sogour al- Jabal, Soqour al- Ghab, al- Sham Legion, the Infantry Divisions 111 and 101, Jaysh al- Sunnah  and other rebel and Islamist factions, which seized these areas days ago after launching a violent attack on the area. The clashes resulted in the death of 73 Syrian and non-Syrian fighters in the last 72 hours, including at least 45 fighters of Syrian nationals, information reported the death of 40 others too. The same clashes also resulted in the death of 42 members of the regime forces and allied militiamen. The regime forces were taking control over Kherbet al- Naqous, al- Mansoura, al- Ziyadiyyah, Zayzoun power plant and its dam, Tal A’war, al- Ziyarah area, other places on the outskirts of Idlib and in Sahl al- Ghab, where the clashes accompanied by carrying out dozens of airstrikes by the regime air forces and launched dozens of missiles and tanks by both sides.
