Violent attack by the “Islamic State” on al-Qaryatayn and deaths from the regime forces in the vicinity of the T4 airbase

Homs Province:

Violent clashes are taking place between regime forces and militants loyal to them against the “Islamic State” in the vicinity of al-Qaryatayn area, following an attack by the organization on a number of checkpoints and positions for the regime forces in the area, accompanied by an intense aerial bombardment on the clashes areas in the vicinity of the city and heavy mutual shelling, also the clashes coincided with two explosions against checkpoints for the regime forces in the vicinity of the two villages, amid reports on advancement for the organization in the region, and information about casualties in both sides, also 5 members of the regime forces at least were killed and others were injured, including four serious injuries due to detonating of a fighter from the “Islamic state” for himself in a booby trapped vehicle targeted a position for the regime forces in the vicinity of the T4 airbase in the eastern countryside of Homs, while the regime forces targeted using tanks and heavy machineguns areas in the city of Talbiseh in the northern countryside Homs, no information about casualties.
