The Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham appoint the second leader after nearly a year on the death of the leaders of the first and second commanders in the Movement at Ram Hamdan

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received a copy of a statement issued by the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham regarding the appointment of a new leader of the movement, the statement said: “after the end of the mandate of al-Sheikh “Hashem al-Sheikh” (Abu Jaber) the leader of the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham and his apology for accepting the extension, the Shura Council of the Movement met and agreed to choose the brother Muhannad Al Masri (Abu Yahya al-Hamwi) as the general leader for the Islamic movement al-Sham.
