The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

For the first time, execution by tying to an ancient pillar and detonating it by the “Islamic State”

Homs Province:
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by local sources in the city of Palmyra that the “Islamic state” organization which controlled the city since the 20th of May 2015 had bombed pillars in the ancient city of Palmyra, and in the details which the observatory got from the local sources, members of the organization tied three people -who were detained- to the pillars in the ancient section of Palmyra and executed them by detonating these pillars, while the identity of the three detainees still unknown. This execution is the first-of-its-kind by the “Islamic State”, the organization in the recent months has invented new ways of executions, like running over a member of the regime forces by a tank “because he ran over dead bodies of the Islamic State soldiers by tank”, in addition to executing people after forcing them to dig their graves by their own hands, and other ways of execution.
