Renewed artillery and rocket targeting raises to 1975, the number of shells which targeted the north of Hama in more than 5 weeks

Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: areas in the north-western sector of Hama countryside witnessed renewed targeting, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces targeting areas in Tal Osman village in the north-western countryside of Hama, while the regime forces targeted areas in Al-lataminah town and the lands around it, by more than 13 shells, along with the injury of a child girl after being shot by a sniper in the area of Al-Mughayr, as well as the fall of a number of wounded due to opening fire of heavy machineguns by the regime forces on areas in Al-Hawash village, the regime forces also targeted areas in al-Janabera village “al-Bana”, by several rocket shells, which raised the number of shells that targeted the area in the past 36 days, where it rose to about 1975, the number of artillery and rocket shells that were launched by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them to, targeting areas in the northern, northeastern, and northwestern countryside of Hama during the last 36 days, where the rocket and artillery shelling targeted the villages and towns of the northern countryside of Hama such as al-Lataminah, Kafr Zita, Hasraya, Zakat, al-Janabera “al-Bana”, M’aarkbeh, al-Sayyad, Tal Osman, Hawash, and several other areas in this countryside.

Also it is noteworthy that these shelling -which was monitored by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights- caused several casualties and wounded in the areas were the shells fell, also the intense shelling which varied between today and the other caused more destruction in the above-mentioned villages and towns, which had previously witnessed similar and more violent shelling, which caused considerable destruction and serious material damage to the citizens’ property, infrastructure, public, and private facilities, as well as hundreds of casualties and wounded, where the shelling increases when violent clashes or major attacks erupt between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the rebel and Islamic factions.
