After executing and killing more than 80 members of its cells…Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrests 2 “commanders” of the organization hiding in Idlib

Idlib Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arresting 2 persons of ISIS cells, one of them is known as “Abu Ahmed Al-Muhajir” and he is the “deputy of the Wali of Hama State of the organization”, and the other one is “Abu Hajar Al-Hamawi” who is the “commander of the 5th Battalion in the organization”, where they have been arrested after raiding the areas where they were located in Idlib province, within the security campaign led by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against the cells of the “Islamic State” organization, and the cells that are responsible for the kidnapping and assassinations, where tens of persons were arrested during successive operations in the past weeks and months, after escalating the assassinations since late April 2018.

The Syrian Observatory have documented the death of at least 80 members of ISIS and these cells who have been killed since the end of April 2018, of Syrian, Iraqi, and other non-Syrian nationalities, including at least 41 where executed by slaughtering them or directly shooting them, while the rest were killed during raids and exchange of gunfire between these cells and members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in the areas of Salqin, Sarmin, Sahel al-Rouj and several other areas in the countryside of Idlib, the last of which was what the SOHR monitored on the 20th of September 2018, where Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham executed 5 persons, sources confirmed that they were executed Al-Zirbah area in the southern countryside of Aleppo, on charge of “belonging to cells of the Islamic State organization”, and members of Tahrir Al-Sham shot them, after they were arrested previously within the campaign of arrests which targeted tens of persons on charge of these accusations, and which sometimes witnessed violent clashes between members of these cells and members of Tahrir Al-Sham, as well as the executions that used to be carried out directly, or through mass targeting to positions and headquarters of these cells, and this is the first execution to be carried out within the Russian – Turkish demilitarized area, which was specified within the Russian – Turkish agreement that recently reached.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored the failure of factions operating in the countryside of Idlib, Aleppo, and Hama to control the security chaos, despite the security operations which contributed to the arrest of tens of people on charges of belonging to the “Islamic State” organization, and the arrest, executions, and killing of tens of members who belong to these cells during security operations in the areas where the security chaos is spread; some of them were executed immediately after being arrested and others were executed after interrogation, while some were killed during the clashes when raiding headquarters of these cells which belong to the “Islamic  State” organization.
