Less than 24 hours after its statement in support of the demilitarized area agreement, an attack targets a checkpoint of the National Liberation Front kills members of its forces

Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory monitored the assassinations increasingly renewed in areas controlled by the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir the al-Sham in Idlib Province and its surroundings, and the Syrian Observatory monitored unknown gunmen assassinating 2 fighters in the southern countryside of Idlib, where they were targeted at the entrance to al-Hbit town, and they are members of the National Liberation Front, which killed them both. This come within series of assassinations that target civilians, fighters, and leaders in several areas of the northern Syrian provinces, also this assassination comes less than 24 hours after a statement by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham which welcomed the Turkish – Russian agreement and considering it as “a great effort and obvious victory for the Turkish diplomacy”.

The Syrian Observatory has received a copy of a statement issued by the National Liberation Front says:

“Our people in the Syrian North have received, with a great satisfaction, the news of reaching a Turkish – Russian agreement in Sochi which stopped imminent Russian offensive which would result in the greatest humanitarian tragedy in the modern age, and we in the National Liberation Front appreciate this great effort and obvious victory for the Turkish diplomacy, which defended our issue and make us a part of its national security, amid the International Community’s inaction to support the Syrian people, and we particularly thank the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for his hard efforts and persistent work on preventing this unfair war”.

And the statement added:

“At the same time, we announce our mistrust of the Russian enemy which proved to all, that it does not respect any earlier commitments or agreements and successively invalidated them the rest areas, as well as carrying out massacres, war crimes and forcible displacement against our civilian people under fabricated claims and pretexts, and it was clear, in the successive popular demonstrations, that our people adhere to their revolution and its constants and that they insist on resistance and endurance, and we in the National Liberation Front emphasize to our people at first and to all the world that our fingers will be always on the trigger and we will never give up our weapons, land or revolution during which we paid our dears’ precious blood in order to achieve the goals of this great revolution the head of which are the overthrow of the bloody regime and all of its figures and our people’s freedom and dignity, and we announce our full cooperation with the Turkish ally during their efforts to put the citizens aside the war’s catastrophes, but we will be also aware and cautious for any treachery by the Russians, the regime and the Iranians, especially after they issued statements which proves that this agreement is temporary, and we will never let them to exploit it for their own favors whether militarily or on the ground, and we will collaborate with everyone in order to prevent this to happen”.

And with the fall of more human losses, it rose to 314, the number of people who were assassinated in Idlib countryside and both Aleppo and Hama countryside since the 26th of April 2018, they are the wife of an Uzbek commander and his son, in addition to 62 civilians including 9 children and 6 women, of who were assassinated through bomb explosions, IED detonations, shooting, abduction, murder and then throwing the bodies in remote areas, and 219 fighters of Syrian nationality belong to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, al-Sham Corps, the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Izza, and other factions operating in Idlib, and 31 fighters of Somali, Uzbek, Asian, Gulf, Jordanian and Caucasian nationalities have been assassinated in the same ways, also the assassination attempts have injured tens of people with varying severity, while the factions stepped up their raids and operations against sleeper cells they accused of belonging to the “Islamic State” organization.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the sound of 2 explosions in both southern and western countryside of Idlib, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory; one of the 2 bombings was caused by an IED explosion in Eshtabraq area in the countryside of Jisr Al-Shughur city, which caused material damage, without information about casualties while the 2nd bombing was caused by an IED explosion in a person sources confirmed that he was trying to plant it but it exploded in him in Masaraan town, also 2 explosions at least were heard in the outskirts of Idlib city, it is suggested to be caused by detonating IEDs, followed by heavy gunfire that lasted for minuets, before the calm returned to the area, and these bombings come as a part of continued targeting operations by cells of the “Islamic State” organization and other cells that are responsible for the assassinations and kidnapping and killing in Idlib province and other areas in its vicinity.
