Clashes continue in ISIS last enclave east of the Euphrates along with the decreased pace of shelling and more ammunition is sent hours after the most violent shelling on the area

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored 12 Hummer vehicles and 4 vehicles loaded with ammunition and missiles, heading towards the fronts and contact lines with the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the pace of shelling decreased after the shelling by hundreds of missiles and shells, where the targeting operations continued by the Coalition and SDF to the enclave which is controlled by the organization, along with the overflight of the International Coalition’s warplanes over the area and their targeting to the controlled areas of the organization and its positions every now and then, which caused further material damage and destruction in the area, amid information about the fall of casualties, as a result of the ongoing artillery shelling and the continued clashes between the SDF against the members of the organization, in areas in the vicinity of Hajin, Al-Susah and Al-Baghuz, amid exchange of targeting in the contact areas between the both parties.

The Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that the column of the International Coalition which headed from Al-Omar Oilfield to the battle fronts in the enclave which is controlled by the “Islamic State” organization, returned to its base, while the Syria Democratic Forces failed to reach the front, and remained in the desert as a result of the bad weather since yesterday, also the Syrian Observatory has received information about the death of a fighter of the International Coalition, after he was injured in the military operations and the organization’s attacks which targeted positions of the SDF yesterday, at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, also the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that the clashes have witnessed an unprecedented frequency of violence since the 10th of September 2018, the date of the start of the military operation by the Syria Democratic Forces and the Coalition against the last enclave of the Organization in the area, while the pace of violence of the clashes has escalated and the intensity of the shelling has increased dramatically, which made them the heaviest clashes and shelling east of Euphrates since more than a month.

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the International Coalition and the Syria Democratic Forces have launched more than 100 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, and more than 500 artillery and missile shells, all of them targeted the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas and positions in its last enclave at the east banks of Euphrates River, in conjunction with successive raids by warplanes on the areas themselves, amid continuous clashes and targeting in the clash areas which caused more casualties in the ranks of both parties, after the Syrian Observatory documented within 24 hours the death of 18 ISIS members, in addition to the death of at least 10 of Syria Democratic Forces in the same clashes, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that it rose to at least 285, the number of ISIS members who were killed in the ongoing clashes and the Coalition’s strikes, while 149 members at least have been killed of the Syria Democratic Forces since the start of military operations on the 10th of September 2018, one of whom has served as a field commander in Deir Ezzor Military Council of the Syria Democratic Forces, while the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of information about other casualties as well as the presence of injured cases in serious conditions, also, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that about 150 members of Syria Democratic Forces went to the frontlines on Thursday morning, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the passage of 3 ambulances coming from the battlefronts to the medical centers, as well as 6 Hummer vehicles and 2 military vehicles loaded with ammunition, and the SOHR published on the 10th of October 2018, that the military operations of the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition have completed its first month on Wednesday, the 10th of October 2018, where it was launched on the 10th of September 2018. These operations, through which the attacking forces seek to terminate the presence of the “Islamic State” Organization east of Euphrates as a dominant force, where this Organization continues to be active in the rest of the areas that are outside of this enclave, in the form of sleeper cells that carry out bombings and assassinations and create chaos and insecurity in the areas that are under the control of Syria Democratic Forces, while this military operation came after weeks of preparations of bringing thousands of fighters by the Syria Democratic Forces and the Coalition to the perimeter of the ISIS-controlled enclave, which consists of the towns of Hajin, al-Susah, and Sha’afah, and al-Baghuz, and the villages of al-Marashdah, Om Hasan, al-Shajla, and al-Bobadran and the areas that connects between these village and town at the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in addition to bringing large military reinforcements of armored vehicles, tanks, heavy machinery, bulldozers, heavy machineguns, and missiles, ammunition, and logistic equipment, all of them were entered on board of trucks to Syrian territory and transported to the vicinity of this enclave.
