After the jihadis’ abstention to leave…the demilitarized zone witnesses the most violent shelling since the start of applying the Russian – Turkish truce leaving the first casualty to be killed by shelling by the regime forces in a month

The demilitarized zone witnessed in the past few hours, the most violent shelling ever since the start of applying the Russian – Turkish truce, on the 15th of August 2018, and since the start of applying the agreement of the demilitarized buffer zone and the end of the deadline for the jihadis to leave the area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored intensive shelling by the regime forces on areas in Kafr Hamra in the north-west of Aleppo city as well as shelling that targeted areas in its vicinity, along with the fall of tens of shells on the neighborhoods of Halab Al-Jadidah, Jam’eyyat Al-Zahraa, Al-Hamdania, Adhamiyah, Al-Shahba’, Al-Akramiyyah, Seif Al-Dawliyyah, Nile Street, Shayhan, and other areas in the western part of Aleppo city, in conjunction with the fall of shells on areas in Al-Zahraa town inhabited by citizens of Shiite community in the northern sector of Aleppo countryside, amid renewed shelling by the regime forces on areas in the western countryside of Aleppo province and the western suburbs of the city, which injured about 10 persons with varying severity in Aleppo city, also a child girl was killed as well as the fall of a number of wounded in the shelling which targeted Kaf Hamra, and this is the first casualty to be killed by the regime’s shelling, since the death of a young man in Kaf Hamra town in the north-west of Aleppo city on the 25th of September 2018, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions, and this intensive exchange of shelling is accompanied by violent clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions, amid exchange of targeting by heavy machineguns and shells, and this area is located within the heavy-weapon demilitarized area.

And the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that it monitored more violations targeted the demilitarized zone stretched from the north-eastern mountains of Lattakia, to the north-western suburbs of Aleppo city passing through both Hama and Idlib, and the Syrian Observatory monitored shelling by the regime forces on areas in the outskirts of Murak town and in the vicinity of Lahaya village in the eastern sector of Hama countryside, after the demilitarized zone witnessed breaches represented by targeting operations by the factions to the controlled areas of the regime forces in the western outskirts of Aleppo city, along with the overflights of reconnaissance planes over the eastern countryside of Maarrat Al-Nu’man, and the regime forces have carried out artillery shelling on Dwayr Al-Akrad village in Sahl Al-Ghab, as well as intensive targeting by the regime forces for places in the areas of Tardin, al-Hadadah, al-Kheder, al-Teffahiyyeh, and Kabani in Jabal al-Akrad in the northeastern countryside of Latakia, also the regime forces targeted places in al-Sermaniyyeh area on the borders of Sahl al-Ghab and southwest of Idlib, amid explosions on the western outskirts of Aleppo suburbs caused by targeting by the regime forces for the area, but no information about casualties, and the Syrian Observatory published this morning that cautious calm continues in areas of the Turkish – Russian truce and the demilitarized area, since before sundown on Tuesday, the 23rd  of October until now, with no targeting or shelling in all areas, and at the same time, the activists of the Syrian Observatory have not monitored any changes within the demilitarized area which entered its 10th consecutive day, where the “jihadi” groups continue to maintain their positions and points despite the repeated attempts by the Turkish intelligence to persuade them to withdraw, but all their attempts have failed so far.
