The explosion at the criminal security building in Deir Ezzor city kills 11 Russian members and of the 5th Corps months after 230 members were killed by explosions and shelling of the Coalition

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented casualties as a result of the explosion that hit the former criminal security building north of the Panorama Roundabout at Deir Ezzor – Damascus Road, which is under the control of the 5th Corps loyal to the regime forces which was formed by Russia, and in the details documented by the Syrian Observatory: 11 members of the Corps and Russians were killed by a mine explosion in the criminal security building of Deir Ezzor city, including 6 Russian nationals who are believed to be members of the Russian security companies, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation.

the SOHR published on the 8th and 9th of February 2018 that 230 members were killed in the international coalition shelling and bombing east of the Euphrates River including 80 members of the Russian security companies who used to exist in the area with the advancement with the allied militiaman of the regime to the field of oil and gas located in the eastern banks of the Euphrates River including a son of Nawaf Al-Bashir who leads Al-Baqer battalion.

Also the Syrian Observatory published on the 14th of November 2017, that 19 members at least were killed inside Deir Ezzor Military Airbase, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; 6 Chechen members of the “Islamic State” organization, managed to enter Deir Ezzor Military Airbase, wearing Russian military uniforms, and when they reached inside the airbase at the outskirts of Deir Ezzor city, they get off the vehicle they were traveling in, and opened fire of their machineguns on the members of the regime forces of who were in the airbase, and the fighting between them and the members of the regime forces was accompanied by detonating the vehicle which they were traveling in, which resulted in the death of 13 members of the regime forces, and the injury of others with varying degrees of severity, and the 6 members of ISIS were also killed in this attack, and there was information received reporting that one of them blew himself up by an explosive belt he was wearing, and this is the first explosion to target Deir Ezzor city, since it was controlled completely on the 2nd of November 2017, after military operations during which violent fighting took place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization, also the regime forces lifted the siege imposed on their controlled areas including Deir Ezzor Military Airbase, on the 10th of September 2017.
