Coalition warplanes continue their strikes on ISIS enclave after the most violent attack by the latter since the recovery of all areas it lost at the eastern banks of the Euphrates

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored renewed targeting by the International Coalition warplanes and the Syria Democratic Forces on the enclave left under the control of the “Islamic State” organization on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the International Coalition warplanes renewed their airstrikes on ISIS controlled areas and positions along with rocket shelling by the SDF on the positions of the organization every now and then, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that  the Syrian Observatory monitored the rise in number of casualties in the attack that took place on Thursday the 22nd of November 2018, and during the last 48 hours, where it rose to 23, the number of members of the “Islamic State” Organization, who were killed in the airstrikes that targeted the areas they attacked in the eastern desert of Deir Ezzor, while ISIS group was trying to attack al-Tank oilfield, they were killed in the raids that targeted ISIS enclave and on the clash areas between ISIS and Syria Democratic Forces, raising to 48, the number of people who were killed in the last 48 hours since Tuesday, during airstrikes of the International Coalition and clashes against SDF, and in turn it rose to 673, the numbers of fighters of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in the bombing, clashes, shelling, and raids within the last enclave of the Organization since the 10th of September 2018.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received details of the most violent attack by the “Islamic State” organization since the 28th of October 2018, the date on which ISIS recovered the entire areas it lost in its last enclave under its control at the east bank of Euphrates River, which extends from Hajin town to the Syrian-Iraqi border, and in details: the “Islamic State” Organization attacked at 3 a.m. on Thursday 22nd of November 2018, positions of SDF and the Self-Defense Forces, where in the first hour its attack, a groups of ISIS tried to go around SDF points, and heading towards al-Tank Oilfield, but they clashed with members from the Syria Democratic Forces and the Self-Defense Forces, the Organization detonated 2 booby-trapped vehicle which caused members from the Syria Democratic Forces on the first confrontation lines to withdraw and flee, while members of the second line remained positioned to secure those who were retreating and fleeing, and violent clashes took place between them, after which the International Coalition warplanes began intensive bombardment, targeting the Organization’s sites and positions near al-Tank oilfield area, which contains a base of the Syria Democratic Forces and advisers from the International Coalition. The airstrikes lasted until 8 am on Thursday, after which the intensity of fog and harsh weather conditions blocked the vision, after that the most violent clashes broke out between both parties, considered to be the heaviest since the Coalition and SDF lost their entire progress in their campaign, which was started on the 10th of September 2018 until the 28th of October 2018.

The Syrian Observatory also monitored at 7:30 am on Thursday, the entry of an International Coalition convoy of 11 American Hummer vehicles and 2 military trucks along with 2 artilleries, and they entered the front lines with the Organization, and the organization at 9 o’clock detonated 2 booby-trapped vehicle targeting positions of the Syria Democratic Forces, while the Syria Democratic Forces brought military reinforcements immediately, where more than 200 members of the Syria Democratic Forces aboard 20 4×4 vehicles loaded with heavy machineguns and 6 Hummer vehicles have reached al-Tank Oilfield and the contact lines with ISIS, amid the continuation of violent clashes between both parties, and warplanes of the International Coalition bombard the area after the fog unfolded at 11 o’clock this afternoon, and things went back to the way they were before the attack at 13:30 this afternoon, and SDF recovered what they lost of points in this attack, the aim of which was storming the oilfield.
