The Coalition’s air targeting of a hospital and a prison in the last ISIS enclave east of Euphrates leaves about 40 casualties and more injuries and destruction

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the number of casualties continue to rise in the last enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization at the east bank of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, as a result of the airstrikes that targeted after midnight of yesterday, the 28th of November 2018, areas in Sha’afah and al-Kashmeh, where it rose to 38 at least, the number of civilians, fighters, and prisoners who were killed by the International Coalition warplanes after they targeted a prison, a hospital, and houses seized by the “Islamic State” Organization and turned them to headquarters in the same enclave, and among the casualties there are at least 16 persons including 5 prisoners and the other 22 are members of the “Islamic State” Organization, where the number increased after recovering more bodies from under the ruins of destruction caused by the aerial bombardment, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation; and due to information about more missing people under the rubble.

Raising to at least 83, the number of members of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in the aerial bombardment and the attacks carried out by ISIS since the 23rd of November until the 30th of the same month, in addition to 15 civilians and prisoners of the organization, while the Syrian Observatory documented in the same period the death of 51 citizens including 19 children and 12 women, they were killed in raids by the international coalition on the SDF enclave, and the Syrian Observatory documented the death of at least 99 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces in the attacks, also the clashes between them have injured tens of them and the civilians, as well as the destruction of property of citizens, public and private property and infrastructure in the intensive shelling that targeted the area, and booby-trap explosions and exchange of targeting.

Raising to 655, the number of people killed by the “Islamic State” organization since the 28th of October 2018, and they are 3 unidentified persons, 15 civilians and people who were imprisoned by the “Islamic State” organization, and  232 civilians including 87 children and 62 women, and 133 of them are Syrian nationals including 56 children and 37 citizen women, they were killed as a result of bombing by international coalition warplanes, which targeted several areas within the ISIS-controlled enclave on the east banks of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, also the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 265 members of the “Islamic State” organization in the bombings, targeting, clashes, and shelling by the international coalition and the Syria Democratic Forces, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 142 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces in these bombings, clashes, and the sudden attacks of the organization.

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday that it rose to 761, the number of fighters of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in shelling, clashes, bombings, and raids within the enclave of the organization since the 10th  of September 2018, also it rose to about 459, the number members of the Syria Democratic Forces who were killed since the 10th of September 2018.

Also, the Syrian Observatory documented that it rose to 284 including 101 children and 69 citizen women (including 153 Syrian citizens including 64 children and 40 women of Syrian nationality), thus, which increased the number of people who were killed according to the 3 stages of the Coalition bombing, which was divided by the Syrian Observatory to 3 phases, the first of which is the first month of the military operation in which the Syria Democratic Forces and the Coalition advanced in the last enclave of the organization and controlled al-Baghuz, al-Susah, al-Shajla and parts of Hajin and the advanced in other outskirts and areas of the enclave, where Coalition airstrikes killed at least 5 Syrian civilians, and this first phase was from the 10th of September to the 10th of October 2018, while the second phase was from the 10th of October to the 28th of the same month, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the death of 47 civilians including 14 children and 7 women, including 15 Syrians including 8 children and 3 women, they were killed in airstrikes by the International Coalition warplanes which targeted at least 4 mosques, a Koranic school, and civilian homes, while the third stage represented by shelling by the International Coalition and killed 232 civilians including 87 children and 62 women, including 133 Syrian citizens including 56 children and 37 women, in several areas under the control of the “Islamic State” organization at the eastern bank of Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
