By a snitch of a former fighters, regime’s intelligence arrests about 170 people mostly of fighters of factions of Ghouta and the capital from shelters in east of Rif Dimashq

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: November 2018 witnessed a major security campaign by regime’s security branches and its intelligence services in the east of Rif Dimashq, where they arrested tens of former fighters of the Factions from shelters in Adra city east of Damascus, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: about the security campaign of last month, the Syrian regime’s intelligence has arrested about 170 youths and men from shelters in Adra city, with the help of former faction fighters, who carried out “reconciliation and settlements”, where they told regime’s intelligence that there are tens of fighters who fought the regime before the factions took control of the Eastern Ghouta, and they managed to flee through crossings opened at the time by the regime forces under Russian support.

The Syrian Observatory learned from reliable sources that 170 people were initially taken to the security branches such as the Air Force in Harasta and the Military Security, where they were tortured and investigated about the places of mass graves of regime forces’ members, and about the places of weapons hidden and buried in cities and towns of the eastern Ghouta, the regime forces after the interrogation took tens of them of who were described as “not involved in terrorist acts” according to the Syrian regime; to the al-Driej military barracks north of the capital, to engage in the ranks of regime’s army and the gunmen loyal to it, while tens of them are still being held in detention and were imprisoned after they were “proven to be guilty in terrorist cases and acts” according to regime’s intelligence.

In the same context, the arrests continue to be carried out by the regime’s intelligence for people accused of knowing detailed information about the chemical attack on the Ghouta, or those who possess accurate information about the night of the shelling and what took place during it, where the Syrian Observatory published on the 20th of August 2018 that it obtained information about the continuation of evidence and facts obliterating process by the regime forces, which prove their carry out of the massacre, in conjunction with the 5th anniversary of the chemical massacre in the Eastern and Western Ghouta, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces their control over the Eastern Ghouta and the completion of sweep, looting, raids and the arrests; have been working on the chemical massacre file, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that regime’s authorities summoned tens of people who were present during and after the massacre, where they have summoned every person who documented, photographed, and participated in preparing the bodies and burying them, and all those who participated in the treatment of the injured ones, and they were investigated in detail by asking them about the full details of the massacre and its particulars, they even summoned those in charge of the cemeteries of Zamalka, Ein Tarma, and Arbin to tell them about the locations of the graves of the victims of the chemical weapons massacre in the capital Damascus, also reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that they monitored the regime enter the graves and start exhumations, to recover the remains and transfer them to other areas unknown so far, in a clear actions by the regime through which it intends to obliterate the traces of the heinous crime it had carried out, which had claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians, where hundreds of civilians were more than 500 were documented in both Eastern and Western Ghouta, including 80 children under the age of eighteen and about 140 woman over the age of eighteen.
