Violations escalate in the Russian – Turkish truce areas on the 4 provinces in the second day of the its fifth month

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent clashes took place yesterday night until after midnight, in the abandoned battalion area in the eastern sector of Idlib countryside, between “jihadi” factions against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, accompanied by exchange of shelling and targeting, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, while the regime forces shelled areas in the villages of al-Sakhr and M’aarkbeh in the northern countryside of Hama after midnight, violating the agreement of the demilitarized area and the Russian – Turkish truce again, while the Syrian Observatory published yesterday evening that the escalated violations are still continuing to head the scene in the demilitarized zone and the areas of the deal between Erdogan and Putin in Aleppo, Idlib Latakia an Hama, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored exchange of targeting, shelling and clashes today evening, Sunday the 16th of December 2018, where the regime forces shelled places in the vicinity and outskirts of Al-Lataminah and Murak towns and the village of Al-Sakhr in the northern countryside of Hama, as well as other places in the area of Al-Ziyarah in Sahl Al-Ghab, and in Aleppo province, clashes took place in the areas of Al-Rashideen and the scientific research center in the western suburbs of Aleppo, as well as other areas in the southern countryside of Aleppo, between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against factions operating in these areas, accompanied by exchange of targeting and shelling between the both parties, without information about casualties so far, also the factions fired shells on places in Halab al-Jadidah neighborhood which is controlled by the regime forces, on the other hand and in the wake of the escalated violations, the SOHR monitored the entry of a Turkish column of about 20 vehicle to the Syrian territory, where a shift took place with the Turkish posted located in Sarman, Shir Mghar and Murak, and it was followed by another column leaving towards the Turkish territory.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago, that violations continue to escalate in the Russian – Turkish truce areas at the 4 provinces, where the drones targeted with several explosive bombs areas in the contact lines at the areas of al-Hakoura and Khirbet al-Naqous in the western countryside of Hama, accompanied by renewed shelling by the regime forces on areas in the northern countryside of Hama, targeted the villages of al-Zakat, M’aarkbeh, and al-Bwayda in the northern countryside of Hama, in addition to targeting areas of al-Ziyara and Sahl al-Ghab at the northwestern countryside of Hama, in conjunction with targeting by the factions operating in the area for positions of the regime forces, in Tal Bzam east of Soran town in the northern countryside of Hama, but no information about casualties, and in the same context, the factions operating in the countryside of Aleppo shelled places in al-Ramuseh area, which is under the control of the regime forces at the outskirts of Aleppo city, which caused material damage, also the regime forces targeted using rocket shells areas in Jarjanaz town in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, and other places in the abandoned battalion area in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and te Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that the regime forces targeted using rocket shells areas in the towns and villages of al-Tamanah, Sukayk, Om Jalal, al-Ferja, and Om Zarzour in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, in conjunction with artillery shelling by the regime forces targeted Mar’aand  village in the countryside of Jisr al-Shughur, these violations come amid clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the factions operating in the northeastern countryside of Hama, in the vicinity of Tal Bzam, in the northeastern countryside of Hama, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, accompanied by shelling by the regime forces targeted areas around the towns of Kafr Zita, Morek, and al-Lataminah, and the villages of al-Zakat and Hasraya in the demilitarized area in the northern countryside of Hama, and other areas in the vicinity of Atshan town in the northeastern countryside of Hama, and the Syrian Observatory monitored the factions dropping a drone of the regime forces flying over al-Lataminah area, also the vicinity of the deserted battalion in the northeastern countryside of Idlib witnessed today exchange of targeting using heavy machineguns, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and the factions operating in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored more breaches within the demilitarized area and areas of Putin –Erdogan truce, where the regime forces renewed the targeting by shells and heavy machineguns after midnight of yesterday at places in the vicinity of the towns al-Lataminah and Morek in the northern countryside of Hama, also at least 4 shells launched by the factions fell on places in the areas of al-Sifsafiyeh and Kherbet Damas, which are under the control regime forces in the countryside of Hama, but no information about casualties until the moment, while shells fell after midnight of yesterday on places in Halab al-Jadidah neighborhood in the western section of Aleppo city, which is controlled by the regime forces.

Also The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the Russian – Turkish Armistice completed its fourth straight month, since the 15th of August 2018, in the provinces of Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, and Latakia in areas controlled by the rebel and Islamic factions and “jihadi” factions, and the nearby areas of control of the regime, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fall of large number of casualties, due to the breaches in these truce areas, where the guarantees left their part in stopping the bombing and hostilities, so it turned from a truce to a checkpoint to stop the military operation against Idlib Province and areas controlled by the factions in the provinces adjacent to it, and what supported that was the deal that took place on the 17th of September 2018, between the Russian President Vladimir and the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to which a demilitarized area was announced stretching from the northern mountains of Latakia, passes through Sahl al-Ghab and the western countryside of Idlib, the northern countryside of Hama, the southern, eastern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, the northeastern countryside of Hama, the southern countryside of Aleppo, until the northwest of Aleppo city and its suburbs and the western section of the city, but both agreements one of which completed its 4 months and the other 3 months; did not witness the hoped calm, even the “jihadis” imposed their conditions in the demilitarized area of which they control more than 70%, but also turned around the heavy weapons agreement, through burying the heavy weapons in trenches were set for them in the demilitarized area.

The 4 months of the Russian – Turkish truce in the 4 provinces, witnessed the fall of large casualties, where the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 84 citizens including 33 children and 17 women, they were killed in air and ground shelling, they are 17 citizens including 7 children and 4 citizen omen were killed in bombing by warplane Russian, and all the casualties were killed in the provinces of Idlib, Hama, and Aleppo, and most of them were killed in Idlib and Hama, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 3 citizens including 2 children; they were killed in bombing by regime’s helicopters using barrel bombs, and 47 citizens including 18 children and 8 women were killed in shelling by the regime forces using missile and artillery shells, and on the Turkish – Russian truce areas in Idlib, Hama, and Aleppo, and 17 citizens including 6 children and 5 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by Ansar al-Tawhid faction on Muhradah city, which is controlled by the regime forces in the northwestern countryside of Hama, and in the fall of shells on Aleppo city, also 57 fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions were killed in aerial bombing and shelling by the regime forces on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, including 8 “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, they were killed during clashes and ambushes, and about 60 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were also killed.

And among the casualties since the start of the truce; the Syrian Observatory documented the casualties who were killed during the period of Putin – Erdogan agreement of the demilitarized area, they are 35 civilians including 13 children and 6 citizen women, they were killed in shelling by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and targeting, including 3 were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 50 fighters were killed in different circumstances within the demilitarized area, since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 8 “jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, they were killed during clashes and ambushes including one commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attacks by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 54 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented shelling by about 350 raids and barrel bombs carried out by Russian warplanes and regime’s helicopters, where warplanes carried out at least 140 raids,  and the helicopters dropped about 210 barrel bombs, amid shelling by about 2500 missile and artillery shells on the current areas of the Turkish – Russian truce, also, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored tens of thousands of citizens from the southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, and from Sahl al-Ghab, Jisr al-Shughur area in the western Idlib countryside, and other areas in the northern countryside of Hama displacing towards the northern countryside of Idlib and Afrin area in the northwestern countryside of Hama and the western countryside of Aleppo, and to areas near the Syrian – Turkish border.
