Trusted sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the US Forces took a foot patrol in Manbij city, which is located in the northeastern sector of Aleppo province, and in the details confirmed by the sources: a group of command of the US Forces in Manbij which is under their control and control of the Manbij Military Council, asked the people about their opinion within the city about the intervention of the Turkish Forces in Manbij, where the people refused completely the entry of the Turkish Forces to Manbij and controlling it, and they expressed their fears and showed the American delegation their fears of retaliations that may be carried out against them and killing, massacres, and arrests, as happened in Afrin area, also the people talked to the delegation about what the Turkish attack will cause of the displacement for tens of thousands of citizens of the city and its countryside.
In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the US Forces running a military patrol of several vehicle in Arab Hassan area, located near the contact lines in the western countryside of Manbij, where the patrolling and the roam of the delegation were accompanied by the flight of US helicopters in Manbij area, and Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night that Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a state of alertness by the Turkish forces operating in the north-eastern sector of Aleppo countryside, where reliable sources confirmed to the SOHR that this alertness was coincided with the entry of a Turkish military column, via Al-Ra’i crossing point north-east of Aleppo, of tens of soldiers and more than 50 military gears including trucks and armored personnel carriers as well as other carriers that carry armored vehicles in addition to other materiel and ammunition, where it headed to the countryside of Manbij area, on the contact lines with the controlled areas of the forces of Manbij Military Council and the International Coalition’s forces, and the Syrian Observatory monitored the raise of military preparations by the forces of Manbij Military Council, in anticipation for any military operations or offensives that are expected to be carried out the Turkish forces in the area which is located in the west of the Euphrates River.
And the Syrian Observatory monitored yesterday, Friday, the sound of gunfire in the area of Sajur line, in the north-eastern sector of Aleppo, where intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the sounds were caused by gunfire of fighters of the Turkish-backed operation of the “Euphrates Shield”, towards the areas of presence of Manbij Military Council forces, and the sources confirmed that there was no response on the gunfire by the other side that is under the control of the forces of Manbij Military Council, where forces of the International Coalition are located, and the today’s targeting, Friday the 21st of December 2018, is the second one, where the SOHR monitored that the “Euphrates Shield” operation Forces which operate under Turkish commands in the Syrian north within areas west of Euphrates, targeted areas on the outskirts of Sajur River in the countryside of Manbij city in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo, which is under the control of Manbij Military Council and in which forces from the International Coalition are present.
