Security chaos continues in Deir Ezzor countryside through more killing operations last of which targeted a member of the Self-Defense Forces east of the province
Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the body of a member of the Self-Defense Forces affiliated to the Syria Democratic Forces, was found dead and beheaded in Gharanij town in Deir Ezzor countryside, and this operation as well as the other operations that are being carried out by the cells of the “Islamic State” organization under of what it calls as a revenge for its loss of large spaces in Deir Ezzor and Al-Raqqah, come after the military operations by the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for human Rights published on the 10th of January 2019, that it monitored that a cell believed to be of the “Islamic State” organization, seized a mini bus, near al-Kasra town in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and it affiliated to Syria’s Future Party, where they beat the bus driver and threatened to kill him in if he deals again with the party, the SOHR also monitored the sound of violent explosion in Al-Busayrah area in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, caused by detonating a booby trapped motorcycle which targeted a vehicle of the Syria Democratic Forces, near Al-Busayrah’s bridge, which killed and injured at least 7 members of the SDF, some of whom are still suffering from serious injury, while in Haddajah Desert in the north-eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, the body of 2 young men of the people of al-Sh’aytat clan, where found dead, where they were killed while they were shepherding in the area, and intersected sources suggested that members of ISIS cells shot them.
The Syrian Observatory published on the 22nd of August 2018 that the “Islamic State” organization carrying out the first revenge operation of the oil in Deir Ezzor Province, within the areas it lost to the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition, where a member of the sleeper cells of the “Islamic State” Organization detonated himself in a booby-trapped motorcycle, targeting a car of one of the people working in the oil field and deals with the Syria Democratic Forces, which killed the suicide bomber and seriously injured the man, the detonation took place in Thiban area on the east banks of Euphrates River near the conjunction leading to al-Omar oilfield, and from this date until today, the Syrian Observatory documented the cells of the “Islamic State” Organization assassinating 130 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties, in areas within the 3 provinces of Deir Ezzor, Al-Hasakah, in addition to Manbij area in the northeast of Aleppo Province, which is controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces, where the Syrian Observatory monitored these cells assassinating 33 civilians including a woman in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area, in addition to the assassination of 97 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces including local leaders in the same areas, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human monitored the injury of tens of people due to these assassinations.
