Countryside of Maarat al-Nu’man witnesses tension and raids by Tahrir al-Sham for a house of a commander in its ranks who left Ahrar al-Sham movement and clashes between them leave casualties

Idlib province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: tension prevails Marshmarin area ion the eastern countryside of Maarrat al-Nu’man at the southern sector of Idlib Province, after a raid by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham today at Marshmarin village, searching for wanted people, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a convoy of the security branch of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham raided the dawn of Tuesday, the 22nd of January 2019, a headquarters of a leader in the Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham who is a former commander of Ahrar al-Sham movement, and Joined Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham later, where clashes took place between the raiding force and between the commandeer and his members, which killed one of the members of the headquarters, and injured several others in the ranks of both parties, and the clashes ended with Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham arresting the wanted commanders and other members on charges of “corruption and burning citizens’ houses in the village” while others fled, also Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham arrested 3 brothers from Talmanas town in the same context, it worth mentioning that the village used to be earlier a stronghold of the Islamic movement of Ahrar al-Sham in which there is the former deputy military commander of the movement, while the area occasionally witnesses assassinations of people and fighters, mostly by unknown people.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 20th of January 2018 that security chaos is still continuing in Idlib province, leaving in every time, new human losses of citizens or fighters, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the death of a member in a “jihadi” faction operating in Idlib countryside, after an attack by unidentified gunmen who stabbed him with knifes in the north of Darkush on the road to Azmareen area, while the SOHR monitored that unidentified persons kidnapped a chemist in Jobas area in the eastern countryside of Idlib, raising to 446, the number of people who were assassinated and killed at the countryside of Idlib, Aleppo, and Hama, since the 26th of April 2018, the date of starting the security chaos to be escalated in the province, they are the wife of an Uzbek commander and his son, in addition to 113 civilians including 14 children and 8 women, of who were assassinated through bomb explosions, IED detonations, shooting, abduction, murder and then throwing the bodies in remote areas, and 284 fighters of Syrian nationality belong to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, al-Sham Corps, the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Izza, and other factions operating in Idlib, and 47 fighters of Somali, Uzbek, Asian, Gulf, Jordanian, Turkish and Caucasian nationalities have been assassinated in the same ways, also the assassination attempts have injured tens of people with varying severity.

And  the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that Idlib Province and the surrounding countryside which is controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, continues to witness the aftermath of the assassination and murder of the booby-trapped vehicle which targeted a site of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham at Mutlaq roundabout at the southern entrance of Idlib city on the 18th of January 2019, which killed and injured about 20 people most of them were members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, including 13 died mostly members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the execution of 12 members of the “Islamic State” Organization who were detained by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, where the Syrian Observatory monitored an execution carried out at the bombing site on January the 18th of January 2019, against 12 members of the cells, where Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham closed all roads leading to the execution place and surrounded the area until finishing the mass execution, which is the second announced execution within 72 hours, after the execution that was carried out about 72 hours ago against 4 members of these cells, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham continue to carry out searches for planners and bombers amid raids and arrests, the latest of which was monitored by the Syrian Observatory at dawn on Sunday, the 20th of January, in Sarmin town east of Idlib city, where members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham raided a house in the town, they said that it belongs to members of sleeper cells of the “Islamic State” Organization, of which the booby-trapped car that targeted the checkpoint came out, and they arrested 3 people and then took them to an unknown destination until the moment, and reliable sources confirmed that these assassinations and bombings came in a response by cells that belong to the “Islamic State” organization in Idlib on an execution carried out by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham against 4 members of the cells, who Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham accused of belonging to the “Islamic State” Organization, where they were shot by members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham with pistols.

And as more members of these cells are executed, it rose to 122, the number of members of ISIS and its cells who have been killed since the end of April 2018, of Syrian, Iraqi, and other non-Syrian nationalities, including at least 62 where executed by slaughtering them or directly shooting them, while the rest were killed during raids and exchange of gunfire between these cells and members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in the areas of Salqin, Sarmin, Sahel al-Rouj and several other areas in the countryside of Idlib, after they were arrested previously within the campaign of arrests which targeted tens of persons on charge of these accusations, and which sometimes witnessed violent clashes between members of these cells and members of Tahrir Al-Sham, as well as the executions that used to be carried out directly, or through mass targeting to positions and headquarters of these cells, and this is the first execution to be carried out within the Russian – Turkish demilitarized area, which was specified within the Russian – Turkish agreement that recently reached.

Security forces in Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions of Syrian and non-Syrian nationality have repeatedly failed to control this security chaos, despite their security operations that caused the arrest of cells belong to the “Islamic State” organization, and other cells responsible for kidnappings, assassination attempts, and assassinations, but these operations have not been able to achieve any complete results, but the cells have remained as it is wandering within the areas in which they have caused an uncontrolled security, where the cells are reducing their activity with each military operation, and get active again as security operation ends.
