7 ISIS members killed in clashes against Iranian militias and the regime forces as they attempt to cross Euphrates River near al-Bokamal

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory monitored violent clashes between the Iranian militias and the regime forces against members of the “Islamic State” Organization, in an attack by the last mentioned when members of the Organization tried to cross the Euphrates River near al-Bokamal city in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of 7 ISIS members in this repeated attack, amid information about casualties and injuries in the ranks of the Iranian militias and the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 3rd of February 2019 that the Syrian Observatory monitored renewed attacks carried out by members of the “Islamic State” Organization against the regime forces and the loyal militias of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: a group of ISIS members attacked the regime forces and their allies of the Iranian Forces and their loyal militias of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, at the east bank of Euphrates River, in an attempt by the remaining members of the Organization east of Euphrates to find a corridor for themselves towards the Syrian desert, after they failed to find a corridor towards the Iraqi Desert, and at the same time refusing to surrender to the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition, where the International Coalition is searching for wanted by names and pictures among people who are getting out of the enclave towards areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the attack -which lasted from yesterday night until dawn on Sunday- killed at least 11 of the Organization’s members including 3 suicide bombers who blew themselves up, and this attack from the east bank of Euphrates River to the west bank of the river; was coincided with an attack by the Organization’s groups from the Syrian Desert, in an attempt by them to keep members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them busy, and trying to find a corridor for them towards the largest and last remaining enclave of the Organization west of Euphrates River, which stretches over about 4000 square kilometers.

The regime forces also launched flare in and around al-Bokamal city, while this operation left casualties and injuries in the ranks of both parties, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 27th of December 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces have brought considerable numbers of soldiers and vehicles in the past week, top the areas of their presence with their allies west of Euphrates, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces have brought thousands of members of the Tiger Forces; led by the Brigadier General in the regime forces Suhail al-Hassan and the Fifth Corps, who are supported and armed by Russia, where the intersected sources confirmed that they have reached regime forces’-controlled areas at the west bank of Euphrates River in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor Province, and they were deployed in the area opposite to the enclave controlled by the Organization, while reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that tens of ISIS members infiltrated to the western bank of Euphrates River, and headed towards the desert of Deir Ezzor, where intersected sources suggested that the Organization is moving towards its remaining large enclave within the Syrian Desert north of al-Sokhna and south of Deir Ezzor, this comes as the Syria Democratic Forces are concentrating their attacks and depending on the slow and steady progress, removing mines, and enforcing their controlled areas.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored an exchange of fire between the “Islamic State” Organization, in its enclave from the eastern side of Euphrates River, and between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in al-Bokamal city from the western side of the river, after the Organization in al-Baghuz village targeted a site of the regime forces in al-Bokmal city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties.

The massive military mobilization on the strategic road of Tehran – Beirut comes after more than a year of the control of the regime forces and the Iranian forces led by the General in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the commander of al-Quds Force; of al-Bokamal city and the entire west of Euphrates River, where they were able to enc the presence of the Organization as a dominant force, while the Syrian Observatory published on the 5th of November 2018 that since losing its strategic control on the road of Tehran – Beirut in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on the western banks of Euphrates River, in December 2017; the “Islamic State” Organization has not stopped threatening the regime forces and their allies of the Iranian Forces, the Palestinian, Lebanese, Iraqi, Afghan, Syrian and Asian militias who are present in the entire western line of Euphrates, the threat took the form of artillery and ground attacks targeted the regime forces and its allies, or through ground attacks monitored by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, in which the “Islamic State” Organization moves from the eastern banks of Euphrates River, coming from its last pocket east of the river to the west bank of the river, and it comes every time from an area trying to bluff the regime forces and their allies, and despite their surveillance of the river they were not able to stop these attacks, which cause large numbers of casualties and wounded each time, also the Organization was able to make a road for itself to exit towards the Syrian Desert, in which the Organization has a large enclave in addition to positions scattered within the Syrian Desert on the administrative border between Deir Ezzor and Homs.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published weeks ago that preparations are under way in the ranks of the pro-regime gunmen supported by Russia to demobilize thousands of members, and in the details obtained the Syrian observatory: preparations are underway for the demobilization of some 8000 members of the Russia supported-and-armed Tiger Forces, under the supervision and command of the brigadier general of the regime forces Suhail Al Hassan, the most prominent Syrian military regime leader, who had full Russian support in his military operations during the past months and years, and which caused the recovery of tens of thousands of square kilometers from the provinces of Damascus, Rif Dimashq, Aleppo, Homs, hama, Daraa, Quneitra, Deir Ezzor, and al-Raqqah, which raised regime’s control to more than 61% of the geographical area of Syria.
