After tens of prisoners escaped due to Russian strikes on the Central Prison in Idlib…Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham starts a security campaign to re-arrest them with others of the cells affiliated to the organization

Idlib Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham started today in the early morning, Sunday the 17th of March 2019, to carry out a new security campaign in Idlib city, its vicinity and outskirts as well as other areas within its countryside, in search for escapees from Idlib Central Prison after the airstrikes that targeted it few days ago, and in search for cells of the “Islamic State” organization, in the wake of the ongoing security chaos in Idlib and the countryside related to it, Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham also imposed a curfew in Sarmin town as a part of the same security campaign, while it blocked several roads in the area, where the roads of Idlib – Ariha, Kafr Najd – Filon north of Ariha, Ariha – Saraqeb, have been all blocked, the SOHR also monitored the outbreak of clashes today morning in Al-Mastumah area, between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against other gunmen believed to be cells of the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented human casualties who were killed in targeting by the warplanes on areas in Idlib city, where rescue teams recovered 4 bodies of citizens killed in the bombardment, raising to 26 persons they are: 8 children under the age of eighteen, 2 women, and 9 prisoners of Idlib Central Prison, the number of people who were killed by air raids on Idlib city and its central prison, in addition to the escape of other prisoners, while the security chaos has resulted in the killing of 506 persons who were killed in the countryside of Idlib, Aleppo, and Hama, since the 26th of April 2018, the date of starting the security chaos to be escalated in the province, they are the wife of an Uzbek commander and his son, in addition to 144 civilians including 20 children and 12 women, of who were assassinated through bomb explosions, IED detonations, shooting, abduction, murder and then throwing the bodies in remote areas, and 311 fighters of Syrian nationality belong to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, al-Sham Corps, the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Izza, and other factions operating in Idlib, and 49 fighters of Somali, Uzbek, Asian, Gulf, Jordanian, Turkish and Caucasian nationalities have been assassinated in the same ways, also the assassination attempts have injured tens of people with varying severity.

And the Syrian Observatory published on the 10th of March 2019, that it monitored the finding of a body of a man who was killed by a gunshot with marks of torture on his corpse, he was thrown near Qorqanya in the northern countryside of Idlib, and the SOHR published on the 8th of March 2019, that it monitored more incidents of the security chaos within the areas of Idlib province and its vicinity, where the Syrian Observatory monitored an assassination which targeted a local commander in the Free Idlib Army, though detonating an IED in his vehicle in Kansafra town in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, the SOHR published on the 5th of March 2019, that it monitored in increase of insecurity within Idlib Province, in a continuation for the activity of the cells operating in the area, where unknown gunmen believed to be sleeper cells of the “Islamic State” Organization and were riding in a car, attacked by machinegun’s fire members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham near Shuaib Mosque in Idlib city, which injured several members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and then the attackers fled but members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham followed them, and besieged them in al-Qosur neighborhood in the city, where the Syrian Observatory monitored violent clashes took place between both parties, coincided with at least one explosion believed to be caused by a member of the sleeper cell detonating himself, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored fading the body of a young man from Homs city, he was killed and his body was thrown in an abandoned house in Binnish town in the northeastern countryside of Idlib, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published 2nd of March 2019 that intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that number of people executed by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in front of Fusion Restaurant in Idlib city rose to 10 people, believed to be sleeper cells of the “Islamic State” Organization, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham executing about 8 people, the sources said that they were members of the “Islamic State” organization’s cells, where they were executed in front of “Fusion Restaurant” in al-Debit neighborhood at Idlib city, in which shooting took place yesterday by a person which killed 8 people and injured others, and the Syrian Observatory published that the Syrian Observatory monitored the increase of number of casualties in the violent bombing that hit Idlib city, on the 1st of March of 2019, where it rose to 8 including 6 “jihadi” fighters, the number of people who were killed in the explosion, of which intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that it was caused by a person’s detonation for himself using an explosive belt at “Fusion Restaurant” in al-Debbit neighborhood, after he shot those who were at the restaurant using a light weapon he had, and reliable sources confirmed that fighters of different nationalities of the area’s “jihadis” frequently came to the restaurant, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and the SOHR published on the 1st of March 2019, that it monitored the explosion of an IED which targeted a vehicle of Hayyaat  Tahrir Al-Sham in the vicinity of the town of Qubaytan Al-Jabal in the western countryside of Aleppo, while the Syrian Observatory learned that unidentified gunmen have assassinated a member of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham after shooting him on the road between Isqaat and Salqin in Idlib countryside, while unidentified gunmen killed today evening, Friday, a person in Sarmin town in the eastern sector of Idlib countryside, where 3 gunmen have shot dead a man in his shop in Sarmin, as a part of a series of the ongoing security chaos in the controlled areas of the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Idlib province and the surrounding countryside.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored dismantling an IED under a car in Salqin town in the countryside of Idlib, while unidentified gunmen at dawn of today Thursday attempted to plant an explosive device in a car of a leader of Jaysh al-Izza in Maarrat al-Nu’man city in the southern countryside of Idlib, where exchanged fire took place between the leader and the unknown gunmen, but no information about casualties yet, and this comes within the continued security chaos in areas of control of Tahrir al-Sham and the factions in Idlib Province and the surrounding countryside, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 26th of February 2019 that the security chaos continues in Idlib Province and its surroundings, as the sleeper and active cells continue to operate in the area and kill more people, where the Syrian Observatory monitored unknown gunmen shooting a person in Sarmin town in the eastern sector of Idlib countryside, which killed him and injured 2 others.

And the Syrian Observatory published on the 18th of February 2019, that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has been continuing to monitor the consequences and developments of the explosions that pounded Idlib city center in the north of Syria today, Monday the 18th of February 2019, where the death toll of fighters who were killed in these explosion has increased to 6 fighters including a Tunisian commander, it turned out that 3 women out of 16 citizens were also killed in the same explosions, while the total civilian death toll included 4 children who were also killed in the 2 explosions which pounded Idlib at noon of today, Monday, while there are 2 bodies whose identity is not known so far, and the death toll of the explosions which took place today and which resulted in the death of 25 persons, rose the total death toll of the security chaos since the 26th of April 2018.
