Tens of SDF are killed and wounded in the first attempt to storm Baghuz camp near the east bank of Euphrates River after the exit of thousands of them

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that significant casualties have taken place within the ranks of Syria Democratic Forces, during the first attempt to storm Baghuz camp near the east banks of Euphrates River, and in the details obtained the Syrian Observatory: at least 14 members of the Syria Democratic Forces were killed and more than 30 others were injured as a result of the mine explosion, violent clashes, and the exchange of targeting between them and between the remaining members of the “Islamic State” Organization at the east bank of Euphrates River, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday night that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored ongoing shelling and targeting by the Syria Democratic Forces on the positions of the remaining members of the “Islamic State” organization in Al-Baghuz farms in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, and the ongoing shelling comes after the decline of advancement process by the SDF in the area due to the density of landmines that ISIS members planted in Al-Baghuz farms, where the SOHR published hours ago, that it monitored the decrease of clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition against the remainder members of the “Islamic State” Organization, in Baghuz farm area in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, the reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the last hours witnessed the retreat of Syria Democratic Forces and the stop of their slow advancement; as a result of the intensity of mines planted by the Organization, as well as the sniping operations and targeting by the Organization from its areas of presence, against the advancing forces, also the SDF retreated out of fear of the Organization’s counterattacks using booby-trapped vehicles or suicide bombers, while the Syrian Observatory published this morning that the the Syrian Observatory monitored continuous violent clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition; against the remaining members of the “Islamic State” Organization, in places in Baghuz farms area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor near the eastern banks of Euphrates River, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the Syria Democratic Forces managed to advance and arrived to the outskirts of al-Baghuz camp from the northern side, where these forces are trying to clamp down on the rest of the Organization, its members, and their families, in order to surrender and exit towards the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas, while the clashes during the hours of last night until now were accompanied by ground and aerial bombardments by the Coalition and the Syria Democratic Forces, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday night that the “Islamic State” organization with its remaining members and commanders, are still withstanding in Al-Baghuz farms, within the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, near the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, where since it retreated to these farms and its tunnels, trenches and camp, on the 23rd of January 2019, they have been still getting out in batches after the exit of the organization and the citizens remaining with it as well as its members and families, had escalated in early December 2018, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the exit of 61760 persons from Al-Baghuz farms and the enclave where the organization had been present before it was cornered in this area, including about 6870 members of the organization, mostly Iraqis, handed themselves over to the Syria Democratic Forces, and since the 19th of December 2018, the date of the US decision to withdraw its forces from Syria and the east of the Euphrates, the SOHR has documented the exit of more than 59760 persons towards the SDF-controlled areas.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented since the beginning of 2019, the exit of 50310 persons including 6370 ISIS members, while the SOHR has documented since the 23rd of January 2019, the date of finishing the presence of the organization in the towns and villages of the east Euphrates and its retreat towards the tunnels and trenches it previously prepared in the area of Al-Baghuz farms, the exit of 34810 persons including 5100 ISIS members, in addition to about 470 other members who have been handed over to the Iraqi authorities, as well as 142 families who have been smuggled to the Turkish territory and the controlled areas of the operation “Euphrates Shield” in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, including 160 members of the “Islamic State” organization, also the Syrian Observatory learned that during the past days and weeks about 300 ISIS members managed to infiltrate through the Euphrates River to the largest and last remaining enclave of the Organization in the Syrian Desert within the areas that are controlled by the regime forces, Russians, and the Iranians in north of Palmyra.
