After 7 hours of the factions’ counterattack, regime forces succeed in holding control of a strategic hill in Hama countryside, and aerial and ground shelling continue on the 8th day of the heaviest escalation

It rose to 9, the number of civilians who were killed yesterday, Monday, in aerial and ground bombardment on the “de-escalation” area, they are: 4 people (2 children and 2 citizen women) were killed in bombardment by regime’s warplanes on Kafr Zita town in the northern countryside of Hama, 2 civilians in the Russian raids on al-Zerba village in the southern countryside of Aleppo, a child in the Russian aerial bombardment on Shannan village, a person was killed in the ground bombardment on the vicinity of Morek town in the northern countryside of Hama, and a casualty in the bombardment on Om al-Nur village in Jabal Shashabo by Russian warplanes, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 24 members of the regime forces and 21 of the jihadi factions and groups; in shelling and clashes between both parties in areas north of Hama yesterday, Monday, in addition to 8 fighters were killed in mine explosions after midnight of yesterday during clashes in al-Bana area and Tal Osman north Hama.

In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed after midnight to regain control of the strategic hill of Tal Osman north of Hama, and they hold their control of the points in conjunction with fortification operations of the hill, after the regime forces took control of al-Janabera (al-Bana) village with intense air and ground cover on the south of Tal Osman, where Tal Osman’s significance came from its position, where it overlooks large areas north and east, and also it monitors by firearm the road of Kafr Nabudah – Qal’aat al-Madiq, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory monitored regime’s warplanes carrying out this morning several raids, targeting Jam’eyyat al-Kahraba’a Kafrnaha, Zahrat al-Mada’en, and al-Zerba within the western and southern countryside of Aleppo, and other places in Kafr Sajna in the southern countryside of Idlib, while the helicopter dropped barrel bombs on areas in the vicinity of Kansafra in Jabal al-Zawiyah, while the Russian warplanes carried out several raids this morning on the vicinity of al-Lataminah in the northern countryside of Hama, and vicinity of al-Tamanah in the southern countryside of Idlib.

While the Russian warplanes carried out 26 air raids after midnight of yesterday, as the most violent escalation ever enters its 8th consecutive day within the “de-escalation” area, they are: 4 raids on Kansafra, 3 on Maarzita and its vicinity, 3 on the vicinity and outskirts of Kafr Nubl, 2 on each of al-Nabi Ayoub area, the vicinity of Rakaya, Sheikh Mustafa, Karsaa, KafrSajneh, vicinity of Ariha, vicinity of Belyon, and the west of Idlib, while the regime forces shelled with the early hours of the morning of today, Tuesday, places in Khan Tuman, al-Humira, and Khalsa in the southern countryside of Aleppo, but no information about casualties.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 154, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin-Erdogan agreement, and they are: 69 civilians including 10 children and 19 citizen women, where 25 of them including 5 female children and 7 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 16 including 6 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 16 including 3 women, 3 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 11 people including 3 women were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, while at least 49 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, and 15 of the factions were killed in clashes against the regime forces, in addition to the killing of 36 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 14th day, to 308 persons in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 6th of May 2019, they are 118 civilians including 24 children and 29 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 5 civilians casualties were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 69 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 102 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 7th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 684 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 356 civilians including 94 children under the age of eighteen and 87 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 29  people including 6 children under the age of eighteen and 5 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 137 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 81 fighters of the “jihadis” and 191 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 914 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 437 civilians including 126 children and 99 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 32 people including 6 children and 5 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 203 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 96 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 273 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
