Tens of barrel bombs and hundreds of shells and missiles target Jabal al-Akrad within 24 hours, and 35 were killed by the regime forces and the Jihadi groups in clashes of Kabana area

Areas in the northern countryside of Latakia have been witnessing intense aerial and ground bombardment and shelling since yesterday until now, by tens barrel bombs and hundreds of missiles and ground shells, where the Syrian Observatory monitored regime’s helicopters continuing to drop barrel bombs on Sunday morning over Kabana area, in conjunction with the continued intensive shelling by tens of shells and missiles by the regime forces, where the Syrian Observatory documented heavy casualties since yesterday as a result of this intense shelling, and the accompanied violent clashes which took place after attacks by the regime forces on sites of the jihadi groups, where it rose to 16 at least, the number of members of the regime forces who were killed in targeting and clashes within 24 hours in Jabal al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, also it rose to 19, the number of casualties of the Jihadi groups, as a result of the intense aerial and ground shelling and clashes against the regime forces during the same period.

In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the jihadist operations room “Wa Harred al-Mu’minin” carried out an operation against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, in Tallat Rashu area at Jabal al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, where violent clashes took place between both parties and killed 3 of the regime forces, also 2 fighters of the Jihadis at least were killed, while the Russian warplanes carried out at least 2 raids on Kafr Ayn village in the southern countryside of Idlib, also the helicopters dropped more barrel bombs on al-Hbit town south of Idlib, amid continuous shelling by the regime forces.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that violent clashes are taking place in places in Jabal Shashabo within Hama countryside, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions, where the violent clashes are concentrated in Hersh al-Karakat after an attack by the regime forces in order to control it, also the regime forces advanced and controlled al-Jabriya, Tal Hawash, al-Tawba, and al-Sheikh Idris in Jabal Shashabo, raising to 13, the number of areas to which the regime forces have advanced and controlled since few days ago until now within Sahl al-Ghab and Jabal Shashabo in Hama countryside, they are Qal’aat al-Madiq, Karakat, Twyna, Kafr Nabudah, al-Bana, Tal Osman, al-Mestriha, al-Sharia, Bab al-Taqa, al-Jabriya, Tal Hawash, al-Toba, and al-Sheikh Idris.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 340, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, and they are: 119 civilians including 22 children and 30 citizen women, and they are 33 including 7 female children and 9 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 22 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 33 including 7 women, 5 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 23 people including 5 women and a child were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 8 citizens including 5 children and a woman were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 117 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 104 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 24th day, to 493 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 13th of May 2019, they are 169 civilians including 35 children and 40 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 12 civilians casualties including 6 children and a citizen woman were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 135 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 170 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 13th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 869 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 407 civilians including 105 children under the age of eighteen and 98 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 36 people including 12 children under the age of eighteen and 6 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 203 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 134 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 259 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1099 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 488 civilians including 137 children and 110 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 38 people including 12 children and 6 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 270 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 149 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 341 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
