The heaviest escalation within “Putin – Erdogan” area begins the first day of its second month with a violent attack by the factions on Sahl al-Ghab after an intense shelling by tens of missiles and shells

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored intensive shelling by tens of shells and missiles carried out by the jihadi groups and factions since dawn on Friday, targeted Tal Hawash, Karakat, and al-Mestriha in Jabal Shashabo and al-Hwaiz in Sahl al-Ghab which the regime forces recently controlled, in conjunction with an attack started this morning on al-Hwaiz area in Sahl al-Ghab, where violent clashes are taking place between the factions and the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, amid attempts by the first to advance and regain control of the area, while regime’s warplanes returned to fly within the “de-escalation” area this morning, after being absent from the skies since midnight of yesterday in a scene that became regular and almost daily, where they targeted by more than 16 air raids the outskirts of Sarja, Hersh Bnin, Kafr Owaid, vicinity of Maarrat al-Nu’man, Arinbeh, outskirts of Khan Shaykhun, the vicinity of Kafrjales, and the western outskirts of Idlib city, while the Russian warplanes compensated for the absence of regime’s warplanes after midnight and carried out several raids on Deir Senbol and Lwibdeh in Jabal Shashabo, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of a person affected by injuries he had in air raids carried out by regime’s warplanes on Kafr Zita town north of Hama.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 950, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 31st of May 2019, and they are: 312 civilians including 77 children and 66 citizen women, and they are 44 including 15 children and 12 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 36 including 8 women and 4 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 164 including 35 women, 44 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 46 people including 6 women and 4 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 22 citizens including 10 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 369 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 269 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the  heaviest continuous escalation on its 41st day, to 1100 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 31st of May 2019, they are 362 civilians including 91 children and 77 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 26 civilian casualties including 10 children and 5 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 371 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 335 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the 31st of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 1479 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 600 civilians including 161 children under the age of eighteen and 133 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 50 people including 16 children under the age of eighteen and 10 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 455 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 285 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 424 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1708 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 680 civilians including 191 children and 145 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 52 people including 16 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 522 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 300 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 506 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
