An officer in regime’s army killed in al-Suwaidaa after being shot by unidentified gunmen

Al-Suwaidaa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of a brigadier general of the regime’s army who is an officer in the 15th Division of al-Suwaidaa province, he was shot by unidentified gunmen on Tareeq al-Hajj west of the province, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 25th of May 2019 that “Sheikh al-Karama Forces”, who include local gunmen from al-Suwaidaa and its countryside loyal to the regime forces; executed 3 people on Saturday, the 25th of May 2019, on charges of “assassinating one of the leaders of Sheikh al-Karama Forces” in Salkhad town earlier this month, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the people who carried out this assassination are from the same faction and from the same group led by the leader, who was assassinated on the 3rd of May 2019, where he was shot in Salkhad town in al-Suwaidaa countryside, where the executors were arrested several days ago then they were executed today Saturday.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 17th of May 2019 that unidentified gunmen attacked a checkpoint of the National Defense Forces of the regime forces in Samma village west of Al-Suwaidaa, where clashes erupted between the both parties which resulted in the death of 2 members of the NDF, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 15th of May 2019, that a violent explosion was heard in Salkhad town in the southern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa in conjunction with the sound of heavy gunfire in the town, it turned out to be caused by targeting by members of the faction Sheikh Al-Karama by an RPG shell to the house of a young man in the town who is accused of killing the faction’s leader on the 3rd of May 2019, accompanied by opening fire heavily by the members of the faction in the area, and this incident comes as a part of the continued security chaos in all over Al-Suwaidaa province, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today morning, the 14th of May 2019, that al-Suwaidaa and its countryside are witnessing a multiform continuous security chaos, where the Syrian Observatory learned that unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle open fire on a person from Damascus province in Atil village in the northern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, which killed him immediately before the attackers fled, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 8th of May 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that local gunmen released a person detained in the prison of “al-Suwaidaa Hospital”, after being arrested by the military security branch on a security checkpoints in al-Suwaidaa province.

And in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: gunmen from al-Qarya town in the southern countryside of al-Suwaidaa Province, stormed the prison of al-Suwaidaa Hospital and released a young man from their village, who is a volunteer in the regime forces, where he was arrested on a checkpoint in the city several months ago on charges of desertion, and he was transferred to the Military security Branch and then to al-Suwaidaa Military Hospital because of a heart attack, before he was released by the local gunmen of his hometown.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 7th of May 2019, that the state of disorder that is accompanied by escalating security chaos is still continuing in Al-Suwaidaa province in the shadow of the regime authorities’ inability to control the security situation and limit the spreading of arms chaos in the province, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that 2 persons were injured today, Tuesday, as a result of fighting that erupted in a fuel station in “Ta’arah” village in the western countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, where they were taken to Al-Suwaidaa National Hospital, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; a disagreement took place between citizens in a queue in the fuel station in Ta’arah village developed to gunfire between gunmen from Al-Dur village against gunmen from Ta’arah village, in order to get fuel, which resulted in the injury of 2 citizens.

And the Syrian Observatory published on the 1st of May 2019, that the chaos accompanied by the increased insecurity continue in Al-Suwaidaa province, where the killings, kidnappings, thefts, assassinations, and targeting continue all over the province, and regime doesn’t seem to be able to control security and limit this chaos, where the Syrian Observatory monitored a new incident dawn of today in Ara village in al-Suwaidaa countryside, where unidentified gunmen opened fire on a car in which members of the local gunmen loyal to the regime forces were riding in the village, which killed a member and injured 3 others, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory learned that the bodies of 4 people including 2 women were found in a cave in the area, which is located between the villages of Salkhad and Mjadil in the countryside of al-Suwaidaa. The bodies were dissolved and unidentified, and no information about the circumstances of their deaths yet, and the Syrian Observatory published that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that unidentified gunmen opened fire at dawn on the 29th of April on a fighter of the local armed factions loyal to the regime forces in front of his house in al-Suwaidaa city, which killed him instantly, but no information about the causes and circumstances of his murder yet, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 16th of April 2019 that an explosion was heard in the neighborhood of Al-Kahrabaa housing in Al-Suwaidaa city, it turned out that it was caused by a grenade thrown by a person near a bus carrying passengers, without information about injuries so far, while unidentified gunmen kidnapped a man and his wife in Al-Raha village in Al-Suwaidaa countryside, and took them to unknown destination, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 15th of April 2019 that it monitored clashes after midnight of yesterday near al-Mishnaqa Roundabout in al-Suwaidaa city, it turned out to be caused by clashes between two factions, one from the city and the other one from Salkhad town, which killed a member of Salkhad factions and injured others, and the tension continues to prevail in the area until the moment, amid large public dissatisfaction due to the undergoing insecurity and the inability of those responsible for the security of the province to control it.
