The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights calls on the concerned organizations for an international accountability in investigating the Colonel Abdul Jabbar al-Akidi’s ties to ISIS

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights called on the concerned international organizations to carry out international accountability and open the necessary investigations, regarding the Colonel Abdul Jabbar al-Akidi’s relationship with the “Islamic State” Organization, with which he has relations that have had repercussions on the Syrian revolution and what it now became, as the Observatory considers the “Islamic State” Organization a terrorist organization classified in resolutions of the UNITED Nations and Security Council, which consider terrorism as an internationally organized crime, and urged for the accountability and punishment of anyone who cooperates, supports, or secures safe havens for terrorist groups.

And based on the undeniable documents in hands of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which prove the involvement of Abdul Jabbar al-Akidi in the operations of cooperating, support, financing, and securing safe havens for what is known as the “Islamic State” Organization, which has committed many crimes of genocide, thus, arranging the international criminal responsibility against the extremist organization and its collaborators in accordance with general international law and its procedural rules, which stipulate that the crimes of terrorism and genocide are not retroactive, as they are commanding and binding rules for all states of the world.

It worth mentioning that the Colonel Abdul Jabbar al-Akidi appeared alongside ISIS leader Abu Jandal at Menagh Airbase, describing his relationship with ISIS as “immigrants and supporters”, he also appeared in a television interview with one of the “opposition” channels earlier praising the role of the organization in the Syrian revolution.
