Turkish military operation begins on the east Euphrates area through airstrikes by the Turkish Air Force on positions in Ras al-Ayn at the border

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the start of the Turkish military operation on the east Euphrates area, where Turkish warplanes are carrying out airstrikes on positions in Ras al-Ayn area at the border line east of Euphrates, after the afternoon of Wednesday, the 9th of October, where hours earlier the Syrian Observatory learned from sources in the Syria Democratic Forces that they have been informed that the Turkish warplanes will soon begin bombing positions in the northern countryside of al-Raqqah and the northwestern countryside of al-Hasakah, within the area located between Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ayn at the border strip east of Euphrates, the sources added to the Syrian Observatory that many of the sites have been evacuated by SDF and the military councils operating in the area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that Turkish Forces continue the evacuation of villages on the border with Syria, as part of their preparations to start a military operation against east Euphrates area, in conjunction with the continued arrival of large military reinforcements of vehicles, armored vehicles, and soldiers towards the area, and the Syrian Observatory also monitored the arrival of more batches of the Syrian factions loyal to Turkey coming from Aleppo countryside to participate in the military operation under the command of Ankara.

The Syrian Observatory just published that the “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights” monitored a state of alert in cities and towns of east Euphrates area among the “military councils” operating in the area, in addition to “the Syria Democratic Forces,” preparing to face the Turkish military operation that may begin at any moment, where SDF announced the general alert and raise the readiness of their forces to counter the anticipated Turkish offensive, and on the other side, the Turkish Forces continue their mobilization at the border strip opposite to the east Euphrates area, amid continued arrival of Syrian factions loyal to Ankara to the area, and in the same context, “Tal Abyad” area is witnessing normal life today, Wednesday, amid fears among the people from the start of the Turkish military operation, where the “Syrian Observatory” monitored a wave of displacement the area began to witness fearing the Turkish attack.
