The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

Reports circulated by regime media on regime’s control Al-Tabqa Military Airbase and the 17th Division north of Al-Raqqah are untrue

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the news  circulated by the Syrian regime’s media outlets about the regime’s control of Al-Tabqa Military Airbase and the 17th Division north of Al-Raqqah city, is completely false. Regime forces are gathering only at Al-Tabqa airport in order to set off to the deployment sites agreed with the SDF, particularly in the vicinity and countryside of the town of Ain Issa.

Hours earlier, the Syrian Observatory monitored Russian and regime forces deploying in the city of Ain al-Arab (Kobane) before Wednesday evening on October 16.

The Syrian Observatory monitored earlier a large column of regime forces setting off from the area of Manbij, heading towards the city of Ain al-Arab (Kobane). The Syrian regime’s entry into the city comes after U.S. forces were prevented from entering Ain al-Arab three days ago.

The Syrian Observatory monitored today the deployment of Russian forces near the city of Ain al-Arab (Kobane), on Wednesday afternoon, after crossing the bridge of Qara Qozak.

The Syrian Observatory also monitored an exchange of fire on the frontlines west and northwest of the city of Manbij, between regime forces and Turkish-backed factions, coinciding with sporadic clashes with heavy machine guns.
