Local sources to the “Syrian Observatory”: Turkey-loyal factions loot residents’ property in Ras al-Ayn and sell them in a market for stolen material in Tal Halaf and Aziziyah

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained testimony of local sources familiar with the situation in Ras al-Ayn city; after the withdrawal of the Syria Democratic Forces and the control of the Turkey-loyal factions, and according to the sources: “looting and stealing operations are taking place for everything, televisions, items, and furniture are all stolen and sold in a market in Tal Halaf, and the looting and stealing are 100% confirmed, and there are farmers and residents there confirm that after they were looted and robbed, and everything is being stolen in shops, houses, and the motorcycles, and all that stuff are sold in a market for stolen things created by these factions in Tal Halaf.”

The sources told the Syrian Observatory that “even food and mobile phones are being stolen,” And some traders have confirmed that honest people do not buy stolen items in Tal Halaf market, but there are others who buy them,” and they added: “there is another market they set up in a village after Tal Halaf called al-Aziziyah village, where there is something like a market for selling stolen items of food or any stolen items that have a high price to be sold for.”
