“Tahrir al-Sham” arrests Turkish leaders of “Hurras al-Dien” organization, in conjunction with alert and security tension in the western sector of Idlib Province

Idlib Province, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that several villages in Jabal al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside are witnessing security tensions, alert, and the spread of checkpoints of “Hurras al-Dien” Organization for several hours, due to the arrest of leaders of the organization by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, where the security forces of “Tahrir al-Sham” arrested 2 leaders of “Hurras al-Dien” organization -one of whom is of Turkish nationality-, on the pretext of belonging to the “Islamic State” organization, that happened 2 days ago in the western sector of Idlib province, while one of them managed to escape members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, also “Tahrir al-Sham” arrested the official of the Coast and border sector in “Hurras al-Dien” organization who is Turkish national also.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 8th of October 2019 that one of the sharia men in Tahrir Al-Sham threatened sheikhs of clans in the countryside of Idlib, Hama and Aleppo, and cursed them and their ancestors, accusing them of espionage for the Turks against Al-Julani, he also cursed their martyrs except the jihadi ones and those of Al-Nusra, and he also cursed the Bedouins (the Arabs of the desert) citing the Ayah in Quran that says “The Arabs of the desert are the worst in Unbelief and hypocrisy”, he denied that those “sheikhs of clans” represent them, claiming that the mujahedin in Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside are the ones who represent them in the south and east and the southern Aleppo, threatening everyone who opposes Tahrir Al-Sham of killing, and in a statement issued by the sheikhs of clans, the Sheikhs said:

“We, the sheikhs and dignitaries of the clans of the following – the province of Hama and its countryside – Idlib and its countryside – Aleppo and its countryside, authorize Sheikh Mahmoud Hussein Al-Murr to be our political, military and relief representative, with his experience and awareness in this field.”
