Anger and resentment in the areas controlled by “Tahrir al-Sham”  and fears in Kafr Takharim that the Rescue Government will retaliate… multiple resignations of “Isqat” village council in protest against the “false promises” and “property theft”

After hours of evening demonstrations in Kafr Takharim city and expelling representatives of the General Authority for Zakat, who were stationed in the olive compressors, police station, and the northern checkpoint of the town in protest against taxes and royalties imposed by the “Rescue Government” on citizens, a delegation of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham held an evening meeting with the people but it did not came with any results, where they requested that the meeting be postponed for another 2 days to resume negotiations again about the protesters’ demands, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that “there is fears among the people that these members my betray them during those 2 days, where it is possible that the Rescue Government or Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham may carry out any measures against people of the city, to take revenge from them after they expelled the zakat authority delegates, amid efforts by these members to humiliate the city and take full control of it like the rest of area, where Kafr Takharim is the only remaining thorn in their through at the entire border area that has not been fully under their control, and the source said: “after these members were expelled, we received messages threatening to get things back to normal or there would be other measures, and they gave us until 12 p.m. but they sent negotiators and at the same time during the negotiating session there was a state of alert in the ranks of both parties, and we had confirmed information about alert in the ranks of Jabhat al-Nusra in case of anything.”

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a demonstration in Kafr Takharim city north-west of Idlib.

Sources informed SOHR that the demonstrators have dismissed the deputies of the General Authority for Zakat stationed in Olive compressors.

The demonstrators also burned the papers on which they write down the amount of Zakat of each farmer, and dismissed the members of the police outpost thet belongs to Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham.

In this context, an evening demonstration went out in Idlib city condemning the decrees of the Salvation Government.

On the 3rd of November 2019, SOHR published that residents of “Idlib” continued their rejection of the decisions of the “Rescue Government”, where there was an evening demonstration in the city of Idlib demanding the “Rescue Government” to reduce taxes and prices.

A source told the SOHR that the people of the city went out this evening, in a mass demonstration against the rescue government, after its decisions to raise the price of electric amperes, where the price of one ampere in the city was 2500 Syrian pounds for three and a half hours, but was increased to 3000 Syrian pounds with reducing the number of hours of electricity to three hours a day, in addition to reducing the weight of one bundle of bread to 750 grams, instead of 900 grams per bag.

It is worth mentioning that the “Rescue Government” associated with the HTS in the region, imposes taxes on civilians from public places that are rented to the people and taxes on public property invested by the people and registration of cars in the records, as well as the arrest and detention of anyone who did not register his car she has.

The “Syrian Observatory” published yesterday that the “National Rescue Government” issued a decision to reduce the number of hours of subscription to the electricity service in the province of Idlib, where reduced the number of subscription hours to 3, and the price of 3000 Syrian pounds per ampere. This is due to the high price of hydrocarbons, which rose with the first day of the battle of the spring of peace.

The Syrian Observatory monitored popular demonstrations during the past few days in the cities and towns of Idlib, condemning the practices of the “Rescue Government and the HTS”.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on 2 October that it had learned that the Ministry of Economy in the Rescue Government had issued a decision to reduce the weight of the bread bundle from 900 grams to 800 grams, and the Ministry attributed the reduction so as not to have to raise the price of the bundle. Sources told the Syrian Observatory that the decision was due to daily complaints from private furnaces for the high exchange rate of the US dollar against the Syrian pound, while the prices of diesel fuel, the main operator of bakeries and fuel in general, are rising significantly, without any reason for this rise and according to the obtained by the Syrian Observatory, the process of importing fuel is going on naturally without any obstacles.
