Demographic change continues in the Syrian north by transferring new batches from Idlib Province to Ras al-Ayn, and the Ankara-loyal factions continue their efforts to deport the original people

Turkey continues the demographic change process within the areas they controlled in the Syrian north through “Peace Spring” Operation, and the Syrian Observatory learned from reliable sources that a large number of people have been resettled in Ras al-Ayn (Sari Kani) mostly from Idlib province, and also in the context of the demographic change, the Ankara-loyal factions continue their efforts to force those who remain in the areas they have taken control of in the Syrian north to leave, and do not allow people of the areas to return, sources of the Syrian Observatory said that some residents returned to check their homes in Ras al-Ayn, but found them completely empty after the robberies and looting carried out by the factions, also the factions prevented citizens from taking their property from some houses that had not been stolen yet.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 22nd of November 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed from reliable sources, that Turkey is continuing the process of demographic change it started in areas under its control in the Syrian North, where informed sources confirmed that a number of residents of the Syrian North have been transferred to “Tal Abyad” and “Ras Al-Ayn” cities which came under control of the Turkish forces and factions loyal to them within the Turkish military operation “Peace Spring”.

Reliable sources said yesterday: “Turkish Forces begun transferring citizens who wish to move to Tal Abyad, where cars depart daily in the morning and in the evening after registering the names of those wishing to move, and they are transported from Jarabulus to the border with Turkey and then to Tal Abyad with their property and belongings, on the pretext that they are returning to their original areas via Turkey.”

The sources said: “the escort starts daily at 7 am and again at 7 pm, and those wishing to move to Tal Abyad are transported and escorted up to the border of Tal Abyad and they leave them there.”
