Gunmen assassinate a former opposition leader in “Tafas” city in the western countryside of Daraa

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today an assassination targeted a former leader of the opposition factions, of who made a “security settlement” and joined the ranks of the regime forces in the western countryside of Daraa, and according to the Syrian Observatory’s resources, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a former leader of the opposition factions in Tafas city in the western countryside of Daraa which killed him, and in a related context, gunmen targeted an officer of regime’s intelligence on the road of “Dael – Tafas” in the western countryside of Daraa, where the officer was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital in the area, raising to more than 187, the number of attacks and assassination attempts took place in various forms and methods by detonating bombs, mines, booby-trapped cars, and firing with light and medium weapons, since June 2019 until this day, raising to 131, the number of people killed in the same period of time, they are 18 civilians including 3 women and 2 children, 66 of the regime forces and militiamen. loyal to them and collaborators of the security forces and regime institutions, 26 fighters of the faction who carried out “reconciliation and settlements” and became in the ranks of regime’s security branches, including former commanders, and of the 15 Syrian militias of the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian forces, in addition to 6 of what is known as the 5th Corps which was established by Russia.
