Russian and regime warplanes participate in fending off the factions and jihadis’ fierce attacks on positions of the regime forces south-east of Idlib

Fierce clashes are still continuing in the areas of Sarjah, Zarzur, I’jaz, Um Al-Khalakhil and other areas in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on one hand, and factions and jihadi groups on the other, as a part of the fierce attack by the latter on positions of the former to recover the villages that the regime forces took control in the past few days.

The Syrian Observatory monitored participation of Russian and regime warplanes in fending off the attacksby targeting the clash areas and other places in the villages of Al-Ghadqah and Al-Sayyadi, amid confirmed information about casualties and injuries in the ranks of both parties.

Meanwhile, helicopters dropped barrel bombs on Maarrat Hurmah and Karsaa south of Idlib, also Russian warplanes carried out raids on Maarrat Hurmah.
