After 4 years of detention, a young man of the “Eastern Ghouta” dies under torture in regime’s basements

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented today the death of a young man from Harasta city in the Eastern Ghouta under torture in prisons of the Syrian regime, after he was arrested 4 years ago, and according to information obtained by the Syrian Observatory, the security services arrested the young man when he passed through one of the checkpoints of “Damascus” city for unknown reasons, his relatives were informed today to report to the security branch to receive his belongings and register his death in the Department of Personal Affairs, it is worth mentioning that the young man is only child of his parents.

And with the death of more people it rose to 16142 civilians casualties documented by names, the number of casualties who were killed under torture by the regime, and they are: 15954 men and young men, 125 children under the age of eighteen, and 64 women over the age of eighteen out of 104000 people of whom the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that they were killed inside the branches, and more than 83% of them were liquidated, killed, and died in these camps between May 2013 and October 2015, while the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that more than 30000 detainees were killed in the notorious prison of Sednaya, and the second largest percentage of killing was in the Air Force Intelligence department.
