New tension raises in Idlib province between HTS and the jihadi organization of Hurras al-Din after exchange of arrests by both parties

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a new state of tension in Idlib province between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against the jihadi organization of Hurras al-Din, where members of Hurras al-Din have kidnapped the “Emir of Muhambal area” affiliated to HTS in the town, and took him to unknown destination.

This action comes after HTS had arrested fighters of Hurras al-Din at the checkpoint of Batabu north of Idlib city on Wednesday, and according to the sources of SOHR; a group of HTS stormed today afternoon, Friday, a headquarters affiliated to Hurras al-Din organization in Muhambal town with no clashes between both parties, amid tension prevailing the area and popular fear of the fighting to be renewed between both parties.

SOHR monitored on September 29, that one of the security checkpoints of “Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham” arrested 3 members of the jihadi organization of Hurras al-Din, which resulted in the outbreak of cold war between the 2 factions after a statement issued by a commander in Hurras al-Din organization -of which the Syrian Observatory received a copy- it says “after the agreement struck between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and Hurras al-Din organization, which gladdened many of the truthful, and after which the two groups devoted themselves to arrange their ranks to repel the enemy, we are today shocked to watch it (Tahrir Al-Sham) seeking to break the terms of the agreement at the time when the enemy has been massing its forces to storm what remained of the liberated land, where Sheikh Mazhar Al-Ways comes to break the term of adjudication between the two groups, approved within the agreement according to what the military judge of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham told us, and we hold every one seeks for escalation between the both parties responsible for the consequences of this escalation at this hard time in which the wise have to cooperated to repel the enemy”.
