After it kidnapped him 3 years ago in the west of Idlib, HTS releases a journalist from South Africa

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham has released the South African journalist “Shiraaz Mohammed” after being kidnapped before about 3 years, where the journalist entered the Syrian territory with the organization “Gift of the Givers” which supports Al-Rahmah Hospital in Darkush town west of Idlib city, before he was kidnapped on the 10th of January 2017 near Al-Jamiliya area at the border with Iskenderun in the countryside of Jisr Al-Shughur city.

It is noteworthy that he was kidnapped by 2 masked men, it turned out later that they are affiliated to HTS, also 2 other persons where kidnapped with him, but HTS released them and kept the journalist under kidnapping, until it released him today, Sunday the 15th of December 2019.

Sources informed the Syrian Observatory that Shiraaz headed after being set free, to the border crossing of Bab Al-Hawa, where he will enter the Turkish territory.
