The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored more violations by the Turkish-backed factions, against people of the areas that they recently controlled with the “Turkish Forces” in “Peace Spring” Operation, where masked gunmen looted and vandalized a citizen’s house in al-Amiret village west of Abu Rasin in al-Hasakah countryside.
And according to sources of the Syrian Observatory, the fighters threatened to kill the men and women and they were detained for more than two hours, while they stole more than 100 of the sheep, and local sources reported that gunmen are members of the Turkish – backed factions take the armed robbery as their job in the area.
The Syrian Observatory published on the 11th of December 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained, today, new details about violations committed by Turkish forces and allied factions within areas under their control as part of the military operation “Peace Spring”. According to information obtained by the Syrian Observatory, the Turkish-backed factions are still stealing wheat and barley crops from the silos of “Tal Abyad” and “Suluk”. Reliable sources said:”M.Z.” the leader of Ahrar Al-Sharqiyah faction, “T.H.”- the brother of head of the local council for Tel-Abyad- and several others, bought the stolen crop from Tal Abyad and Suluk silos from the Leadership of the Al Jabha Al Shamyyiah, Jaysh al-Islam and Ahrar al-Sharqiyah, and transferred them to pre-equipped warehouses near from Al-Blu Fuel Station.”
According to the sources, the grain is sold to traders linked to”B.K.”, who is listed on the international sanctions regulations. One of these merchants was identified as “A.S.”, a well-known merchant in Raqqa city, in cooperation with “T.H.” and “A.F.”, where the first owns warehouses in the west of Abbas gas station in Faraja village – Tal Abyad countryside.” The sources continued: “There is also a second huge collection point belonging to the (N.H.) and a number of his relatives who use the area west of the roundabout of the new court to store stolen crops led by Al Jabha Al Shamyyiah faction.”
