About 230 persons killed or injured in 19 blasts hit the areas of influence of the Turkish forces and their proxies in Syria’s north-east in 52 days
At the time when the Turkish backed factions are busy stealing and looting the citizens’ properties and belongings as well as their violations in the area of North-east Syria, security chaos still heads the scene there through ongoing blasts without any movement from Turkey or its loyal factions, on contrary, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information about the involvement of some factions in these blasts through facilitating the entry of explosive materials or fabricating such blasts in some occasions.
In December, SOHR monitored 8 explosions that hit areas under control of the Turkish forces and factions loyal to them in both Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah countryside, where these explosions resulted in the killing of one fighter of the factions and 16 citizens including 5 children and women, in addition to the injury of 34 others with varying severity.
SOHR also monitored 19 blasts that hit both countryside of Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah near the Syrian – Turkish border between late October and yesterday, Thursday the 20th of December 2019.
The explosions were confined to limited areas they are: Tal Abyad city, Sluk town, the villages of Ayn Arous and Hamam Al-Turkman in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, Ras Al-Ayn city, and Mabroukah and Tal Halaf towns in the western countryside of Ras Al-Ayn north of Al-Hasakah.
14 of these explosion have been carried out by using car bombs and 4 by booby-trapped motorcycle, which caused gross casualties among citizens and military personnel of those loyal to Ankara.
SOHR documented during this period, the killing of 67 persons at least, they are 36 citizens including 10 children, and 31 fighters of the Turkish-backed factions of the “National Army”, also 162 persons at least were injured with varying severity, some of them are still in critical conditions and others sustained permanent disability.
