The regime forces continue their advancement under a cover of intensive aerial and ground bombardment and take control of 5 villages and other positions south-east of Idlib in less than 12 hours

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of a citizen due to rocket shelling carried out by the regime forces on Maarrat Al-Nu’man city today morning.

Meanwhile, clashes continue between the factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on the other, as a part of the latter’s attack on areas in both eastern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, under a cover of intensive aerial and ground bombardment.

SOHR was informed that the regime forces have achieved new advancements where they managed to take control of Um Jalal, Um Twinah, Al-Kharibah, Al-Rabiaa, Al-Sha’ra and other positions in the area, in less than 12 hours.

In connection to this, the Syrian Observatory monitored the fall of rocket shells fired by the regime forces on the Turkish observation post in Sarman village in Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside, without information about casualties so far.

On the other hand, the regime’s warplanes carried out 19 raids on the clash areas and places in Al-Ghadqah, Maasaran, Maarshourin, Samaka, Tal Mannas and Maarrat Al-Nu’man city.

Also helicopters dropped 12 barrel bombs on Al-Qarati, Jarjnaz and Tal Mannas.

While the Russian warplanes carried out 14 raids at least targeting the clash areas, the vicinity of Maarrat Al-Nu’mn, Qatrah and Halaban, along with the fall of tens of rocket shells on the clash areas and frontlines.

With the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 945, the number of people who were killed since the last agreement of “Putin – Erdogan” on the 31st of August 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 20th of December 2019, and they are: 270 civilians including 75 children and 56 citizen women, and they are 111 including 37 children and 21 women were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 19 including 3 women and 6 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 49 including 6 children 10 women were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 77 people including 20 women and 21 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 14 citizens including 5 children and 2 women were killed in shelling by the factions on regime forces’-controlled areas in Aleppo and its countryside and the countryside of Hama, while at least 329 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 224 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 346 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

Thus, it rose to at least 5046, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 20th of December 2019, and they are: 1315 civilians including 335 children and 242 citizen women, and they are 337 including 81 children and 64 women, and 9 of the civil defense and 6 of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 107 including 22 women and 21 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 586 including 160 children, 100 women, and 5 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 191 people including 40 women and 41 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 94 citizens including 31 children and 16 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 1994 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 1311 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 1737 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

During the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 20th of December 2019, and Syrian Observatory documented the death of 5572 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1598 civilians including 416 children under the age of eighteen and 306 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 120 people including 34 children under the age of eighteen and 20 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2080 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1343 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1894 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 5806 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1681 civilians including 445 children and 320 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 121 people including 34 children and 21 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2147 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1447 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 1978 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
